Because the Bruins, in their history, have never employed anyone who has ever embellished or done any act to try to draw a penalty on the opposition?
So embellishing calls is only legit if you think the team you root for has been wronged by the refs and is able to draw a penalty on the other team?
Yay perception:
Guy on "your" team draws a penalty via embellishment: Good job to draw the ref's attention and a penalty, veteran move to get your team on the PP, makes up for noncalls
Guy on opposition draws a penalty via embellishment: WHAT A DIVER/FLOPPER!!!!!, an embarrassment to hockey
You did walk right into it. But right and wrong doesn't change with the year.
But no reason to include (or at least I hope). No need to be condescending.
That wasn't my intent. You took my post with commentary about people degrading women to put men down and all you did was comment on the year it was. To me that shows you'd rather be clever than actually respond to my post.
Actual right and wrong (assuming there are absolutes) do not change with the year, but certainly what is acceptable does. Have you heard of the "rule of the wrist"?

I get what you are saying. I wasn't making fun of you. I wasn't trying to demean you. It's just odd to say that somehow we should grow out of our humanity. Without the 2012 thing it made total sense.
But you bring it up, it I am sharing with you that it makes no sense empirically. But really no need to try to force me to be mean based on your unfounded defensiveness.
My comment was merely stating that it's never right to insult people.
Not surprisingly, Gunnarsson was pissed about the injury.
Surprisingly, he wasn’t pissed at Foligno.
“I was pissed off,” he told TSN. “I was mad at myself for letting [myself] get injured; I didn’t protect myself the way I should have. I just wanted to go out there and keep playing, but it turned out I couldn’t do it.”

Why should anyone expect him to be upset with a legal hit?
That is the leading media partner of the NHL. Ignorance abounds.

You are correct. I'll let this thread get back to it's intended purpose.
