Trust me I lived with someone with mental illness for 32 years and its no joke! but if you can't laugh and joke every once in a while you are in serious trouble! Because i was clearly joking!
Sounds like it was a sweet come from behind win. I was stuck working so I didn't see it. Kane got his 30th? I was looking forward to seeing it, ho hum.
Whats our record now against our divisional rivals?
Edit: Didn't mean to start a conversation about the market. I saw that someone talked about the arena being half empty or something so I just brought up the stats from the NHL page which were pretty good numbers and way better than half the arena.

Reason: Didn't intend to start something
Recorded attendance was 17,760 according to NHL.com
and according to wikipedia the max capacity of the arena is 19,250 for ice hockey events.
I don't know if that is the real attendance and or if that includes, IF ANY giveaways.
I mentioned this in another thread, Miami Dolphin fans had a very impromptu protest outside the team's offices. Poorly attended by disgruntled fans , the Panthers showed up to GIVE FREE tickets out for a Panther game to the protesting fans.

That says a lot.
I think the fact that so many on here care so much about how well or poorly attended other teams games are says even more.
Interesting to see the degree to which Pavelec was being thrown under the bus for the wide angle tying goal, only to be praised like a god for the save in OT on the GDT ... think I'll stick to the TV from now on #LOVE/HATE/LOVE/HATE/LOVE/HATE
One person blamed Pavs, 6 or 7 people called "great shot" by Kopecky.

Agreed. A team moved to where we wanted it to. No need to continure to analyze other teams markets anymore. Leave that to Quebecors and Hamiltonians now on.
We care because of the 50 million times that we told that we would never be able to support a team.
It's time to move on
Mod Hat On
Attendance/Market Viability Topics are Off-Topic in this PGT. There are places on these boards to discuss these things. Leave them there. Only warning.

I understand mentioning the attendance (or lack thereof) as an observation, but is it really something that needs to be harped on? We're doing well attendance-wise, and there's no indication that it's going to change in the next little while. Why the schadenfreude?
It's not breaking site rules, but as Holden said, I think it's time to move on.
Why doesnt the league decide draft/lottery position by the date you are eliminated from the playoffs, rather than final standings? Teams are trying when still alive, and the columbus's of the world still get rewarded properly.
Love the heart our boys have shown on this trip. Looks like we'll be 15-6-3 in division play after we beat tampa. Nothing wrong with that.
Panthers will still win the div, that poor fanbase will be absolutely crushed if they lose to wash and car and the caps make it.
Every single game from Florida against the Jets had a plethora of empty seats , that isn't harping , that is a constant observation , and worth noting. No need to harp on it of course , but pointing it out isn't doing that imo.
