I think the best case scenario for Goligoski is that the Stars treat him like Duncan Keith and find him a "Seabrook" for a defensive partner.
I agree in theory, but Goligoski is no where near Keith, so we would have to find a super duper Seabrook..Even then I'm not totally convinced Goligoski would do much..
Ryan Suter is probably even more of a pipe dream than Parise is but I think he could be a massive shot in the arm for this defense.
Agreed on both. Obviously we want both of these guys. Most of us would be happy with one, and head over heels if we got both. But the likelihood is that we're not going to get either one.

For crying out loud, we get it. You hate Goligoski can you stop throwing bombs and bringing him up in every freaking post? There are way worse problems with this roster than Goligoski. Try bringing some constructive criticism and ideas to that for a change.

Keith had a great season in 09-10, but outside of that he's been simply above average. He's not great defensively, but you pair him with Seabrook and you have a very effective set of defensmen. If Goligoski was paired with a bigger more defensive minded partner, I think we would see the Goligoski that played in Dallas last season.
I'd like to see Larsen with Fistric. I don't think Goose's long term partner is with Dallas yet. It will either come via free agency or a younger guy being developed if it doesn't take much longer.

What I've been saying. Fistric - Larsen was awesome when they did use it, but naturally, it worked too well so they broke it up.

Oh, I'll never stop. I hate him with an undying passion. I actually boo him at games. And by the way, I thought my post was constructive criticism, especially if you had seen some of my other doozies about him..heh

I'd tell you why, but it's a long story and I'm sure your not interested. Suffice it to say, it's not ALL about his terrible hockey abilities/terrible trade..lol

Nah, nothing like that. More to do with a Pens fan friend and the actual trade..heh That ******* actually tried to justify it like most pens fans "Goligoski is good man, thats an even trade" when everyone else in the hockey world knew GMJN was an idiot..But I digress, didn't mean to side track the thread, even though Gobbler still sucks..heh

I agree that Goligoski would play much better with a bigger stay at home type but his defense is far below the level of Keith's.

Trust me, there's a lot more than that, that's condensed..God I HATE him..lol
That's actually one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Sounds like if you have to be mad at anyone you should be mad at your friend. Of course, you could just chalk it up to reality and nobody having a crystal ball. Also, most Pens fans I remember were a little sad to see Goligoski go but were definitely not saying it was an even trade. The general consensus at the time was that the Stars got fleeced (which, even though I'm not stoked about Goose fleeced is an overstatement).
