Are you guys actually debating the spelling of this earfly?

And does this mean that he got the job and you didn't. Tough break.

It was really disappointing driving home from Friday night's Eskimo game and having to hear ESPN's Amy Lawrence go on and on about the Dwight Howard trade instead of Corey Graham being forced to swallow it and admit that the Eskies aren't as bad as he thinks they are. Dave Campbell's clumsy/awkward post-game show on CHED isn't much of an alternative either.

lets face facts--whether we like to admit it or not--ESPN radio ges higher ratings then eski post game talk

Absolutely untrue. Evening ESPN programming (a.k.a. 'filler') pulls lower ratings than local shows pretty much everywhere across North America.

Corey was on the morning show yesterday so I get why he wasn't on last night. Somebody should have been there filling in for him though.

TPS starts in just over an hour.

Two local players joining me in studio today. Mark McNeill of the PA Raiders and Matt Tomkins from the Sherwood Park Crusaders, both are prospects of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Also lots of talk about the Lake Placid U20 camp (USA, Sweden, Finland), the massive penalties handed out to Windsor from CHL Prez David Branch and a talk with the voice of the Memorial Cup host Saskatoon Blades.

Big show, tune in. Send your questions in via Twitter: @TPS_Guy

Great show Guy. I always thought Mark seemed kinda robotic so it was nice to hear him come out of his shell.

Just a random question, but if there is a lockout next season will the oilers get another first pick? Or do we have to lottery for it again?

Worth pointing out that the Crosby lottery still heavily favored teams who missed the playoffs repeatedly.

And also, very little chance we lose the entire season. This is revenue percentage crap, not a brawl over the inclusion of a salary cap.

We'd have terrible odds of winning the lottery though, since teams that pick 1st overall lose a ball for each year they won the lottery the prior 3 years.

If the entire season is burnt... The Oilers would have 1 ball out of 50 in total... so ya the odds aren't great.

2% chance of winning the #1 pick. Of course we have Tambo trollface on our side so the percentage goes up to 100%

Forgot about that bit. Was thinking we would have three balls.

Of course this assumes the lottery is done in the same way.

It probably would be as I'm sure that some teams are pretty salty that we got 3 1st overalls in a row.

Watch us win it anyway.

I'm sick of CBA talk already. At this rate, I'll be putting the NHL on full 'ignore' mode way before September 15th.

So why not punt ESPN and get all local shows?

The night show has been pretty weak for a year now......
all they play are interviews from the afternoon shows

I made you eat your parents! I made you eat your parents! Your tears are so delicious Scott!

I bet you the league would then make a rule that a team couldn't draft 1st in back to back years

I like listening to the recaps and various tid bits of the day's shows. I listen to Sports Night Live every night to catch up. Maybe I have low standards but I enjoy it for the most part before bed. Also enjoy ESPN radio for all the football and basketball talk... I'm a sports junkie.

There's a lot of factors but the simple answer is cost.
