I dunno kids, I kinda find the chicks voice in the Spence Diamonds commercial kinda sexy sometimes. Has anyone ever seen her?
While I'm at it...
Jet Label's new attempt is a little less ridiculous but still a stretch to have relevance on a sports station by suggesting they named the company after the Winnipeg Jets famous line. Glad they are off Yashin though, shocked that crap ran as long as it did.
Oodle Noodle... Pretty sure I'm not ordering any simply because of the male chorus line singing...maybe it's the way we comb our hair. Not showing up at my door at 3am. Not.
Glass Masters. When it comes to wearing pants, "almost always" is not good enough. HAHAHA. I try and keep jack ***** out of my life, not find find one to replace my windshield.
I studied advertising too and yes an ad that doesn't get remembered is wasted. But I have to stop short of calling these successful as I'm left with an opinion about the company or its product that will have to OVERCOME to make a sale.
Probably some more examples too that I am forgetting. I'll add them later if I still care then.
it is amusing that we have gone into a situation where we just take shots at the commercials and not the actual programming
Actual programming. The more I listen to Strudy the more I enjoy him. I don't know how he would do during prime time hours, but he is perfect for late night.
Also so happy LoweTide is back on. Easily the most informative show on 1260 and very entertaining.

but they have not updated their website to indicate that he has new show
I like both Lowetide and his show although there was what I judged to be a ridiculous moment this past Saturday. With the Oil coming off of awful back-to-back shutout losses, I tuned into Lowetide's new show for some kind of fresh insight only to hear him and some nerd doing an extremely thorough breakdown of Magnus Paajarvi's advanced stats for the Nashville game. It just struck me as absurd for some reason.

Isn't that what he is into? That's why I don't like following too many stats guys, they always try to put a spin on something. I don't care what the one or two bright spots are in a 6-0 loss.
Best way to have people turn the dial to another station is having a co-host who is sick and who's voice is gone.
Uh, no. Best way to have people turn the dial to another station is hiring a co-host with no radio experience who is not smart or dedicated enough to make up for it. Laryngitis is temporary, stupidity is permanent.
But enough about the past. Do you think ATB and the others that paid to advertise on the TEAM during the CIS University Cup were pleased that the Golden Bears' first game was not only tape delayed but that Gregor & Storms were giving out the score as it happened with no heads-up? My guess is that what was going to be a fairly tiny audience to begin with went down to almost zero after that.
