Mike Yeo is going to make Suter look like a god out on the ice. That guy can coach.
Can anyone explain the hype around Scandella, though? He was absolutely awful in Houston. Couldn't even control the puck right and cost us more than a few games by losing the pick on the blueline in the last minute.
I'm happy to see all this talent come out West, even if it is going to make it a little harder on the Stars.
If Jagr goes for one more year, it would make for a pretty sick Dallas v. Minnesota Classic.
It should be interesting to see how Nashville handles Weber. Poile is already making comments that Weber is committed to Nashville, yet they had to go to arbitration last summer. Nashville's refusal to face reality already cost them Suter, do they make the same mistake with Weber?
Just thought it was worth pointing out how New Jersey advancing to the Final ended up not mattering. At the time most people wrote off signing Parise just because of the success his team was having. All along it seems he had his own ideas.
It also shows that there just really aren't too many cases where a player doesn't take the big money, especially if he can get close to "home." If Benn ends up in the same situation with us and Vancouver is in a position to throw the bank at him I don't doubt for a second he'd be a 'Nuck in no time. This deal of his should just go ahead and pay him.
I'm just so glad those cocky little Pens fans didn't get Parise. I love how they assume every big name player is gonna sign there, no matter what. Ive seen so many of them say they're all but locks to sign Semin now...
Not all of them, but a pretty huge number.

They need to match, but man is that going to be a lot of money and a big cap hit. Nashville has no one to blame for this but themselves. They didn't want to pay Weber last summer and they took their sweet time this summer. If this is a case of Weber just wanting out of Nashville then Poile should have identified that issue last summer and made a trade before it reached this point. Nashville has done a terrible job dealing with new contracts for Suter and Weber and they are paying for it.
