WWE: One of my favourite matches of all time.

Thought I'd share this with everyone.

I first saw this on the Breakdown 98 on a tape my folks got me from HMV when I got hit by a car when I was 9 and was stuck in bed for a week, so I watched it multiple times.

It's a triple threat cage match for number one contender between Shamrock, Mankind and The Rock.

It also has one of the best Mankind promos ever.

Two reasons I think. The chain link has far more give to it, so it's safer. Plus, the main camera angle can see through the chain link easier too.

I much prefer the bar cage though. It looks more menacing

Wow I wish matches could be like that again. Guys like The Rock & Mankind as under cards.

The great part was the way they played the entire thing out. Excellent finish and it played to the characters of all 3 men throughout the match. That is the simple thing that is missing from a lot of the current matches/story lines.
