Yeah...unlikely that we get that low on forwards. The worry is always on defence....top 4 especially. Our 3rd pairing(#6 position) is pretty interchangeable.

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Ballard
Salo - Rome

Alberts
Tanev
Gragnani

There is no way Rome should be in over Tanev.

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Salo
Tanev - Ballard

This has to be the starting 6 come game 1.

I'd do:

Ham - Bieksa
Edler Tanev
Ballard Salo

When it comes to the 3rd pairing in the playoffs....I'll still choose the veteran physical dman with some scoring upside, over a young, less experienced, less physical, non-offencive defenceman.

It's really the more logical choice.

Well that's your opinion and IMO a ridiculous one. There is nothing wrong with his locks at all and if you had ANY sense of style or grooming you would understand that his hair suits his facial structure very well. I mean of all the hockey players hair styles you can rag on you pick David Booth? really? His hair is beautiful, he's a very handsome and well spoken guy who just happens to be in a little slump that he will break out of thanks to his positive attitude and willingness to drive to the net.

Predicting a 4-1 win. Schneider will play well and all we will do over the next couple of days is continue the goaltending debate. Ahh the life of the canuck fan.

So at this point the team everyone hates is a win away from winning the west and two wins away from winning the Pres (barring a NYR slip up)?

The Canucks can clinch the West with a win tomorrow night, can they not?

Sadly not. If the Blues win their 2 games we will need 3 points.

Doesn't St. Louis own the tie breaker?

You sure? Blues can finish with 111 points and 50 wins. If the Canucks win tomorrow, we'll have 51 wins and 111 points...or is there another "first tiebreak"?

I think they'd win on head to head wins against us, if we win tomorrow, and they win the next two...leaving us tied in point and wins. However, we'd have a game in hand, to collect 1 or 2 points to break that tie and break it with most wins overall.

Asking myself the same question. Someone on team 1040 keeps saying st louis has the tie breaker?

Don't quote me, because I'm not sure, but I think that "stat" was 6 games ago. I think we passed the tiebreaker with their OT loss tonight.

The first tie breaker is R.O.W. = regulation and overtime wins.

The second his head to head record.

St. Louis has 44 ROWs, Canucks only have 42, so winning tomorrow doesn't clinch.

3 points clinches it for sure for the Canucks. But I think a single point in the final 2 should do it. Expecting St.Louis to crumble under atleast one of Phoenix/Dallas playing for the playoff lives.

Don't count on Dallas stepping up.

In other news, Edler quietly needs only 1 point to be at 50 points on the year.
