I can't completely shave mine before playoffs start..its like sacrilege to my wife. I've had this "style" for almost 8 years (sheesh) and if I cut she said she'll leave.

Perhaps because it covers the ugly mug

Around 20 years ago, give or take a few.

Didn't work out so well until last year.

i shaved on saturday and have always shaved before they clinch the playoffs. won't shave until they're out. i've been able to grow a beard since i was 16. by the end of the finals last year my wife said i looked like an axe murderer. i already have pretty long stubble and it's only been like 4 days.

Don't feel too bad. Now that I'm closer to 40 than I am to 30 I use mine to cover the extra chin.

I always start after the last game of the regular season. My beard isn't much better than Crosbys either, but hey, the thought counts

Since I always have a beard, this isn't too hard. Just the shaving it off part when the Bruins win it all ain't gonna happen.

There's a line between "scruffy" and "omghairy", and you crossed it.

Well that's not scruffy, that's a full blown beard. The awesomeness usually only lasts 3 - 5 weeks.

A very impressive beard, might I add.

Beards are fascinating. Some people look good with them, and some people do not. It's really the miracle of science. What is particularly noteworthy is that if a man is surrounded by women, his beard will naturally grow thicker and faster, than if he does not have any contact, even just social conversations, with women. It has been written about in a handful of biological journals, if you have an interest in that sort of thing, and you all should, because acquiring knowledge is a wonderful pursuit. As it pertains to the Bruins, I am glad that I can clip my toenails during the playoffs, at least.

Growin' a stache this time, and I'm one week in. My girlfriend has never seen me like this before, but she will today and I guess she won't like it. Well, I don't give a ****

Last year I had the most epic beard ever. I sing classical music and had a gig at a local restaurant, so I had to shave before game 5 of the finals, but I left the soul patch. I think that's why they lost.

No shaving at all this time. Learned my lesson.

That's awesome. I love singing but I know I suck so I keep it here on the premises of my little abode in the wood, haha

My dog is growing my playoff beard for me. No trims until the B's lift the cup again.
