Say they retired today and you had to pick 1 between Malkin and Ovi to make the HOF..

Who would you pick?

For me it's Malkin but it's close. Simply because by the end of the season, he will add a Hart, a Ted Lindsay, an Art Ross and potentially another Conn Smythe. So Malkin will have:

-1 Cup (Potentially 2)
-1 Conn Smythe (Potentially 2)
-2 Art Ross
-1 Hart
-1 Ted Lindsay

Vs Ovi's

-2 Harts
-2 Rockets
-3 Ted Lindsays (Edit :Keep in mind that one of those could have easily gone to Malkin)
-1 Art Ross

Alexander Ovechkin.

I think you're trying to skew the people's votes in Malkin's favor with the (keep in mind that one of those Lindsays should have went to Malkin.) And adding the potential 2 Cups and Conn Smythes.

Tough choice. Going to have to say Ovie, though if Malkin continues his play for a couple of season he's in too.

Is washington officially eliminated? Shouldn't OV get a possible cup and conn smythe too?

Seriously?
I can easily see that you want Malkin to win.
Ovechkin would make it, Malkin would not.

I'm saying Ovechkin simply because you obviously want us to pick Malkin, that I think it's Ovechkin. Love that guy. Hate the team he plays for but love that guy.

If they retired today Malkin wouldn't have a Hart, Lindsay, or a second Art Ross...

Why are you giving Malkin a "potential" second Cup and Conn Smythe? I thought they were retiring today?

And if they aren't retiring today, then I guess Ovechkin can also have a "potential" Cup and Conn Smythe?

I'll take Ovechkin, although it's clear that you aren't unbiased in this debate.

Ovechkin. Typical HF "what have you done for me lately" mentality. So quick to forget just how dominant Ovechkin was up to a couple seasons ago.

Who should get in the HHOF if their careers ended in 5 years, John Tavares or Taylor Hall?

Tavares
- 0 cups (potentially 5)

Hall
- nothing

Gotta be JT right?
