I think it's absolutely fine what he said. And people will make a bigger deal of it then necessary as usual.

He is right, it comes with the territory of being a great player. And seriously where did he "proclaim love" for Crosby?

By saying he is great? That's the truth isn't it? And Crosby still has tons of fans after that whole shpeel. That's the truth isn't it?

Bettman can do no good to some people (not saying you are one of them)

All the guy does is say....honestly the truth, not inflammatory, or favoritism....just the truth, and I know people will flame the guy and call for his head and make up all kinds of **** about how he wants the Penguins to win everything, ergo he pays the refs off. Bettman isn't ****ing gushing over Crosby, he's just saying what pretty much everyone already knows...some people hate you because you are good.

Torts, god love him, wasn't right in what he said. You don't go after a players integrity in the media. If you want to trash them in the locker room to your players then fine. But you don't stand in front of cameras and put a couple players on blast. But torts wears his heart on his sleeve. And he probably expected the wallet slam.

I have no problem with Bettman's comments and I agree 100% with what he said.

With the first overall selection, the Oilers are proud to select...

After three first overall selections even the Oilers with their inept management should manage to get out of the lottery next year...

Watch crushing disappointment of Blue Jackets fans as their team loses NHL Draft Lottery...

You'd think right?

Defense, what's that? Yakupov here we come!

Jesus trade the #1 pick down to #2, or #3 pick up a prospect in the process, and then draft Ryan Murray.

You'll get probably a decent player coming back in the trade and you'll get the best overall defensemen in the draft. Which is what you actually need.

I think they would try and trade Hall before Eberle.

You've got to be kidding me. Pens are Bettmans night dream, he favors them in every event/promotion.
Your a ****ed up homer if you can't see this. I mean ever since Crosby got drafted it was Crosby this, Pens that. The only player/team (in the past) that was also so favored were the Capitals with Ovechkin.
For BUttman there are only a couple of franchises that are interesting and he deserves every boo he gets for his favoritism.

Bettman = Neptist

That is absolutely brutal and three first round picks in a row is just dumb.

The Flyers sure could use a gritty defensively elite center right about now

that they could. Their defensive coverage down the middle is...not good.
