What if a season was played?

What does everybody think the record would be on Dec 1st?

I say 9-9-4 for 22 points.

Jagr would be the leading scorer

Weekes would be the #1 goalie

Best rookie besides Tjutin would be Balej

9-9? We'd be lucky to break twenty two games on the season. Remeber how it went after the trade deadline? Thats how it would have been, except over a full season.

you can't judge by how it was at the end of the season when the year was over and everyone had given up...not to mention that we have a new coaching staff

Yea but dont forget we have players from all over that just formed to make our new rebuilt team. They have no chemistry and most of them havnt played a full NHL season yet. Its like expecting the pens to be .500 while they are rebuilding with there young players.

No, we have new assistants. You think thats going to change that much? Over time they might implement a new system. But not over the first season.

It is very obvious it would be Jagr.#1 goalie would most liely be Weekes, unfortunatley.Plus 20 games into the season I would say Nyr would have something like 5 wins-12 loses - 3 ties, maybe it would be worse maybe better I dont know. But I guess that is a fair assumption to make. And 5 wins could be to high.It also depends on what the scheduele is and the teams they are playing.

assistant coach can change a LOT especially if you have a full training camp and preseason to get things together vs throwing everyone into the lineup after a fire sale in march...

if what you say is true that assistants don't matter, then why do teams hire assistant coachs?? we've been waiting for years for a real goalie coach and now that we have one you are going to argue that assistants don't really make a difference?

So you think an assistant coach can make a 3-9 team (or whatever they were after the TD) and make them a 500 team from training came to 20 games in with the same players? I think not.

They'd probably have four or five wins. They just aren't going to be good for a while. As long as they competed for Renney, I'd have no gripes.
