Close, but I went with Bergeron. That being said, I haven't watched Eriksson play all the much so East Coast bias.
Bergeron is arguably the best defensive forward in the game right now, while capable of scoring 60+ points. He's also improved every year since his concussion. Honestly, if it wasn't for his concussed, which has slowed his game somewhat, I could see him being a top-15, maybe top-10 forward right now.

Eriksson. A Selke-type defensive player with much better offense than Bergeron.

Eriksson, barely. Offense is better while still being great defensively and he doesnt take penalties.

Stars fan who doesn't get a chance to see Bergeron as much as I'd like so I will abstain but kudos to the OP for a good poll.

Both top-5 defensive forwards in the league, but Loui is better offensively, so Loui. Close though.

Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.

Bergeron. It is close though, I just think the faceoff advantage is the tipping point and more than makes up for the offense lost between the two.

Offensively they are pretty much on the same level, but Bergeron is better defensively.

Been impressed with Eriksson when I've watched him, but admittedly threw a homer vote for Patrice because it's about time his excellence is recognized.
