Worst experience was a couple of drunk Leaf fans in the family fun zone of the rink. I was with young kids and these guys thought it was funny to pretend they were peckers and pretended peeing on people and jerking off. I've been to few games in Toronto and the fans aren't jerks like that.
Honourable mention goes to Leaf fans that got all decked out in blue and white, with signs making fun of the Sens..... at a Sens-Sharks game.
Driving to Buffalo and wearing a Sens jersey pretty much guarantees a rock being thrown throw your window. Insurance covered it no prob but it's just classless and really beyond the realms of trash talking.
As most of you know I'm from central NY but some buffalo fans yelling at me and my friend "F'ing Canadian" and such. I have only been to 1 game and I don't plan on going back again....at least not w/o reinforcements.
Going to Canes vs. Sens games. Their garbage mascot threw popcorn and other things at me
Plus another time years later when the Canes played their first home game after the 2010 Olympics 10 or so numbskulls saw my jersey and started to talk trash about Canada and Canadian players.
Needless to say i made them look foolish by stating the ********** obvious that the only players those bandwagoners fans ever knew: Eric Staal, Rod Brind'amour, Cam Ward, and Ron Francis are all Canadian.
I was at a Habs-Panthers game at the Bell Center maybe... 4 years ago?
The Canadiens fan sitting immediately to my right got so drunk he crapped his pants and didn't know it. It took literally the rest of the period to convince someone at the Bell Center that there was a problem. They had to get police to literally carry him out of the section, and the seat had brown wet marks on it after he left. The whole section smelled like **** for the remainder of the game.
This happened halfway through the 2nd period. Worst experience in enemy territory EVER.
I've been to plenty of away games, worst experience was 2007 playoffs in Pittsburgh, I went to both the Pens games and one of the games while leaving out the arena I got spat on, pretty disgusting. That entire night was a **** show too since I believe it was the first Penguins playoff game in Pitt in years and it seemed like the entire 18,000 were liquored up.
Every time I go to a Sens/Devils game, I have never seen so many people at a hockey game, that don't know **** about hockey... I want to pull out a machine gun and kill them all.
and Yes, I will have to deal with this on Saturday.

In NJ? I went to my first game Sens-Devils in NJ last year at the prudential centre and never had so many punks around me, ever. It was the end of a season meaningless game too and I wouldn't even be talking to people and they'd come up to me and be like "at least we have our cups, we have the best goalie blah blah blah."
It was a really weird experience cause I never expected Devil fans to be like that, especially in what was almost a meaningless game ( although we basically ruined the Devils shot at the playoffs when they went on that unbelievable run and we were the only team to really beat them)
Beautiful arena, but Newark is also the biggest **** hole on earth.

I got this in Tampa too.
I had a beer thrown at me after a Sens - Leafs game when the Sens one. Also sat on a bus full of drunk Leaf fans chanting "Alfie sucks dick". Also watched a 20 year old Leaf fan try and fight a 60 year old Sens fan and was chirping his wife.
Funny though, at the ACC, every Leaf fan is pretty polite.

I also had a bad time in Buffalo at a Sens game, almost got into a fight for wearing my jersey until the guy saw I had my two brothers & brother-in-law with me & he only had one other drunk friend.
at the redwings game this year, everyone around me was fun to talk to. Some guys made the trip from montreal to watch the game. On the way out some drunk guy looked at me square in the face and said "****....You." I laughed as his gf carried him away. I saw maybe 12 Sens fans in jerseys.
Next night in toronto nothing happened. sens fans and leafs fans *****ed at our seats. "obstructed view" means you cannot see from the blue line back.
good experience... when i was about 13 sitting in the lower-level of the ACC with my dad (me in my sens jersey), hockey night in canada, Hossa took over the 3rd period and went bar-down right in front of us. Sens win 4-2.
since i was so young, leafs fans took it easy on me. still one of the best sens games i've ever seen, home or away

Ooo! I want! Where you do get one of them hefty girls?
I was worried for my safety after a late season game in 08 in Buffalo. Sens were down 3 ( I think) and I was brig chirped about them losing. Then came the epic 3rd period comeback to crush the Sabres hopes of making the playoffs. Those same guys were much angrier now and still chirping me. They were far enough away that I provoked them with the old golf swing.
The walk to the car was the scarey part though. I could feel eyes cutting right through me. I was waiting for some random drunk to come out of no where and sucker punch me but I escaped unscathed.
Sitting beside a Habs fan at a Sens-Habs game, and the scoreboard flashed a score of the Leafs losing - instant bonding. "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"
Having rally towels and empty beer cups thrown at me in the Bell Centre for standing up to applaud the Sens scoring/winning.
This year on the St Paddy's Day game in Ottawa vs the Leafs was pretty brutal. Felt like we were in enemy territory. So many drunk, obnoxious Leafs fans having the time of their lives as they were winning the game 1-0 on a Karlsson own goal despite the fact they were destined to miss the playoffs for the 7th straight year. I was surprised there weren't more fights in the stands.
A few friends went down to watch the Sens play NJ in the old rink a few years back and said the fans were quite abusive throughout the game just because they were Canadian.

You hit the nail on the head. I can't wait for Brodeur to retire, so they have nothing but memories.
I would happily combine all the bad experiences in thid thread for the chance to actually see the sens live
a post like this makes me realize how lucky i've been to be a STH since '92. i've been in the stands for pretty much every critical sens moment in history, most of them completely burned into my memory to the point where i could live them out and replay them in my mind as if they happened yesterday, and this poor guy has never been able to see them live. props to you for still being a sens fan though!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you are.
I've convinced the wife that Ottawa is the location for our next winter vacation, and hopefully all the following!
