Today, the Stars part ways with captain Brenden Morrow, along with blueliner Stephane Robidas.
After moving a few vets yesterday, the Red Wings took notice and approached Dallas looking for a few extra pieces to add. After some negotiating, we found a deal that works out for both sides.
Brenden Morrow, Stephane Robidas
Tomas Tatar, Teemu Pulkkinen, Patrick Eaves, DET 5th.
The Stars bring in two more solid prospects, along with some depth in Eaves, and another draft pick.
We wish Brenden and Stephane all the best in their future endeavours, and we are pleased to welcome Tomas, Teemu and Patrick into the organization.

2 good offers in for Schneider. He's shown elite talent this season and he's ready for a big workload next year. A perfect #1A for any team.
2 offers for Luongo in the past hour, keep in mind he's not likely to waive his NTC unless he is going east, (Likely the Southeast as his family is there). Top 5-10 goaltender in the league, Olympic gold medal and an excels with a heavy workload. We were interested in moving him and rolling with Schneider but underwhelming offers have us considering holding onto a guy like Lu.
EDIT: Mason Raymond has been moved pending a players NTC waive. More to come. David Booth, Manny Malhotra, Kassian are still available in regards to forwards. Looking for a Top 4 defenseman.
The Winnipeg Jets made a major move today, sending Defensemen Tobias Enstrom to the Islanders along with a 5th round pick for stud prospects Nino Niederrieter and Kirill Kabanov
"This was a 'big picture' trade for he organization" GM T_Cage explained to the media, "we know some fans may not like losing Tobias, I sure didn't, but with Enstrom being 1 year away from UFA we decided to shore up our future top 6 with 2 dynamic wingers that will bring an exciting brand of hockey to Winnipeg. And with the NHL's most enthusiatic fans, they deserve an equally dynamic product"
The organization thanks Tobias for his years of service. Sources are unsure weither T_Cage will look for a replacement, but many feel Bogosian is ready to step into an increased role.
Sources also say this might be the first trade in reent memory where IR4 actually ADDED a draft pick
In the process of replying to RFAs and updating the RFA post.
If you trade/acquire a RFA to/from the opposite conference, their original conference agent is still their agent!
Going off this.. If you don't offer your <$1,000,000 RFAs raises, as their agent I may advise them to accept a 1-year qualifying offer. Seen an alarming number of GMs low ball their fringe players.
RFA Qualifying offers
The current team must extend a "qualifying offer" to a restricted free agent to retain negotiating rights to that player.
Players who earned less than $660,000 in the previous season must be offered 110 percent of last season's salary. Players making up to $1 million must be offered 105 percent. Players making over $1 million must be offered 100 percent.
If the qualifying offer is not made, the player becomes an unrestricted free agent.
If the player rejects a qualifying offer, he remains a restricted free agent.
If the player does not sign before December 1st, he is ineligible to play in the NHL for the remainder of the season.
The have traded goaltender Brian Elliot for Defenseman Francois Beauchemin from the
Welcome to St Louis, Francois!
confirm.
We are absoultely extatic to have acquired a goaltender of Elliot's caliber. He is an all-star goalie with the best Save% and GAA in the league. He will be great for us. We thank Francois and wish him the best in St. Louis.
After trading Beauchemin who will be next to be dealt from the Ducks? We are rebuilding, Get your offers in for Ryan, Getzlaf, Perry, Visnovsky, Lydman, Cogliano, Hiller, and anyone else!
