Stan Van: yes I know Dwight Howard has asked for me to b fired..wow
Stan Van: management told me story is true that Howard asked for him to b fired

RT @Ian_OConnor Howard comes in hugs Stan and doesn't realize Stan just confirmed story

Source close to situation says no word on whether Stan Van Gundy's moment of truth means he's out immediately. Then again, it's been 30 min.
Pretty messed up.

Asking for a trade is one thing but he has turned this into a circus.
LeBron is hated mostly because of the TV special which is justifiable to an extent. But Howard has gone above and beyond that and doesn't get the same hate.
Good for SVG. He shouldn't have to put up with that crap and he shouldn't hide it either. Some people are saying it was wrong to reveal the details of a meeting he had with Magic management but I'm glad he did it.
Here's the video of SVG talking about Dwight trying to get him fired and then Dwight walking in and hugging him....
Hmmmm....when Shaq wanted him fired from the Heat, he suddenly felt the urge to "spend more time with his family". Guess he's not feeling those pangs of family time this go around.
I gotta say, chances are that SVG gets fired at the end of the season and it's a damn shame. They are gonna choose Howard over a top-5 coach, which I can understand, but instead of telling Howard to stop being a little brat and work as a team, they're bowing down him.
...I don't know how they can even let SVG get on the plane to Philly after that.
They HAVE to remove SVG tonight or Friday IMO.
There is zero point in dragging this out, it's just self-inflicted embarrassment by that franchise if they do.
Name Patrick Ewing or one of the other assistants as interim HC or bring in someone else whatever. But they gotta have better common sense than this right?

Not only are they going to lose a top coach, they're most likely going to lose Dwight next year as well. So they'll be completely screwed.
According to Ric Bucher, the Magic owner and president told Dwight that he can decide the fate of both Otis Smith and SVG if he doesn't opt out. They're letting him make all of the decisions. There were rumours about Dan Gilbert offering the same thing to LeBron but he said no thanks and left. Now the Magic are doing the exact same thing.

I agree. I think SVG did the right thing by telling everyone the truth but they should just fire him now and move on. They have to.
SVG shouldn't be out of a job for too long. Teams will probably be lining up for him in the offseason.

The Parade , Declaring a dynasty , etc didn't help Lebron either
