Stan Van Gundy admits Howard wants him fired.

Quote:
Ian O'Connor ‏ @Ian_OConnor

Stan Van: yes I know Dwight Howard has asked for me to b fired..wow

Stan Van: management told me story is true that Howard asked for him to b fired

Sam Amick ‏ @sam_amick
RT @Ian_OConnor Howard comes in hugs Stan and doesn't realize Stan just confirmed story

Sam Amick ‏ @sam_amick
Source close to situation says no word on whether Stan Van Gundy's moment of truth means he's out immediately. Then again, it's been 30 min.
Pretty messed up.

Howard is a phony. He had built up such a good cache by showing a great attitude for years and this season it has melted away.

^ Yuuup.

Asking for a trade is one thing but he has turned this into a circus.

LeBron is hated mostly because of the TV special which is justifiable to an extent. But Howard has gone above and beyond that and doesn't get the same hate.

What a ****ed up situation.

I dunno who's trying to conjure up more drama this season: The Magic, Lakers, or the Knicks.

Let's not forget the Blazers, Hawks, Nets, Kings, or Wizards.

All of a sudden, the Heat are looking like choir boys this year.

Good for SVG. He shouldn't have to put up with that crap and he shouldn't hide it either. Some people are saying it was wrong to reveal the details of a meeting he had with Magic management but I'm glad he did it.

Here's the video of SVG talking about Dwight trying to get him fired and then Dwight walking in and hugging him....

Well, he could always go back to his old job in the San Fernando Valley if the Magic are gonna fire him.

Hmmmm....when Shaq wanted him fired from the Heat, he suddenly felt the urge to "spend more time with his family". Guess he's not feeling those pangs of family time this go around.

The video makes me so uncomfortable. I can't even look at the hug part.

So, after it came out that Howard wanted to fire his coach, he put up 0 pts in 3 qtrs against the Knicks. Way to no-show.

Howard has turned into such a *****. The way some of these drama queens carry on is a disgrace.

Most awkward video ever. I had to pause it for a sec.

Dwight is a phony.

I gotta say, chances are that SVG gets fired at the end of the season and it's a damn shame. They are gonna choose Howard over a top-5 coach, which I can understand, but instead of telling Howard to stop being a little brat and work as a team, they're bowing down him.

Seriously...

...I don't know how they can even let SVG get on the plane to Philly after that.

They HAVE to remove SVG tonight or Friday IMO.

There is zero point in dragging this out, it's just self-inflicted embarrassment by that franchise if they do.

Name Patrick Ewing or one of the other assistants as interim HC or bring in someone else whatever. But they gotta have better common sense than this right?

Not only are they going to lose a top coach, they're most likely going to lose Dwight next year as well. So they'll be completely screwed.

According to Ric Bucher, the Magic owner and president told Dwight that he can decide the fate of both Otis Smith and SVG if he doesn't opt out. They're letting him make all of the decisions. There were rumours about Dan Gilbert offering the same thing to LeBron but he said no thanks and left. Now the Magic are doing the exact same thing.

I agree. I think SVG did the right thing by telling everyone the truth but they should just fire him now and move on. They have to.

SVG shouldn't be out of a job for too long. Teams will probably be lining up for him in the offseason.

If The Clippers were smart they'd axe VDN and get Van Gundy if he becomes available

I don't think that's possible (this season)

Yeah, usually I say keep it behind closed doors, but considering everything happening in Orlando, he shouldn't be the only one who takes a fall.

The Parade , Declaring a dynasty , etc didn't help Lebron either

If the Clippers were smart they would never have hired VDN in first place
