You could say the same thing about everyone on the phillies lineup.

I don't think you'll ever see Pence change his hitting approach. It's reminiscent of guys like Vlad Guerrero and Pablo Sandoval, guys who you will regularly see swinging at ANYTHING. Maybe there is hope though, because he's young and he's no Vlad Guerrero.

How do these MLB players not know the rules for an infield fly?

He's been my pick the last two years. I really hope management doesn't let Cole go.

Man, my first phillies game was suppose to be tomorrow, but doesn't look like there's any shot of them getting it in. Anyway was flipping back and forth between sixers and phils and fat joe looked nice tonight. I've always said he's the best #4/#5 in baseball, you really can't ask for more from a back end rotation guy.

I wonder if they could get anything of value for him? He would be a rental player but if he keeps on pitching the way he has teams would want him. He wouldnt be a series changing acquisition like Hamels but when he was acquired in 2008 he was instrumental in the World Series win.

I think his value in the rotation is more valuable than any pick or prospect we'd get in return. It's odd, this year may be one of the few years that hitters will be way more in demand than pitchers. The contenders atm all have solid rotations, a guy like blanton isn't going to push them over. I really don't see the phillies being sellers either unless they are completely out of it by the deadline which is unlikely.

Anyone have the announced attendance of the game? There's gotta be maybe 18 thousand people here max..

Guess we can finally get back to normal ticket prices with people not going all the time

Since it opened in 2004 that place was usually pretty good attendance wise. i remember going to a game in September of 2006 and it was rocking.

As far as your 2nd comment goes, I think in the summer it will be pretty fully especially if the tickets are cheap because a lot of college kids just go there to get smashed. Now it would be easier for them to get tickets.

Id guess more like 25 k, I had two extra tickets that I couldn't even give away because people had work or didn't want to deal with the weather.
