Off topic, but you have to see the video of this catch, bottom of the ninth two outs, this would have been a game tying home run. The still photo says it all.

Nope, as long as the OF brings himself and the ball back onto the field of play before making a secondary play, it is an out.

This team is just about clueless when it comes to playing baseball.

Here's hoping Doc is okay. Although I heard on the PGS that Doc said he was feeling soreness in his shoulder last start against the Nats and they decided to pitch through it. And knowing how quiet both Doc and the Phils can be I wouldn't be surprised if it actually wasn't bothering before then. I know the team isn't in the best shape SP-wise, but this needed to be addressed then.

Just a bad game from a lot of people today, but it's nice to see them win 3 of 4.

Oh and Chad Qualls... GO AWAY.

I will say, at least we've had starters step up and play really well, especially Hamels (without Doc).

If Hamels and Lee keep on pitching the way they have and Worley comes back they should be able to compete imo.

If Blanton stops sucking and Kendrick keeps it up, I'd say so. We just need to replace some hitters. Rollins can play D, but he can't do **** for hitting right now. Can't wait for Utley and Howard to come back. I could see this team pushing really hard near the end of the season if they get all their players back and healthy (or mostly healthy).

I think Kendrick can be decent, not sure about Blanton. From all accounts, they actually know what is wrong with healthy, unlike with Utley. His injury has become a mystery, until he is actually playing 2nd baseball for them I wont believe anything else I read. As far a JRoll goes he should be batting 9th when Lee and Hamels pitch, and 8th the rest of the time. Pierre should lead off.

Not playing a .314 hitter and still batting someone who's average is .224 1st? Yeah Charlie sure knows what he is doing...

Listening to the radio makes me want to kill myself. People talking like Halladay's career is over after his month of May. It was documented back in spring training that something was up with Doc. Ken Rosenthal wrote a piece saying how he was hurt back then and Halladay blasted him for it.

It's an injury. Halladay hasn't lost "it".

I dont think he will be as good as he has been the past 2 seasons, he is 35. That being said, I still think he can be an All Star Quality pitcher.

BTW, Jimmy is going to be friends with Mendoza in a couple of weeks with the way he is hitting.

Time to sell him for prospects while he still has any value left.

I don't expect him to be what he was forever but they're acting like he won't be able to get an out once he comes back from.
