I realize this is a disappointing season for the Flames, but nice to see them showing some heart when the games are only about pride and beating the Canucks at home. Blues fans everywhere thank you.

I'll never fully get behind the idea of tanking... but good god, a single win could move us down way too many spots in the draft! We'd have to give up a third or more just to move up to where we were before this game in terms of the ranking!

A win on Saturday and the Flames will finish with 90 or more points for a 3rd consecutive season. I know it'll hurt our draft ranking, but that's still pretty respectable in today's NHL.

I don't think we did either. I think fans on both sides of the Aliu/Negrin deal chalked up up as needs for our respective AHL affiliates and neither would even be retained after this year.
I now think Aliu could be retained and from what I have read this is the first time Aliu has felt apart of any team, this goes to show how a good fit in the locker room can do wonders for a player. Also with how much he has moved around it may also be a case of him growing up.
