2012 NHL Playoffs thread

Now today ive just been thinking about the postseason way too much and I figured to make a thread just before the playoffs start to help my fix. This isnt just for Preds, this is for the whole league. All playoff talk or anything that has to do with the playoffs goes here.

Ill start the thread off with this video.. Pumps me the **** up

Habs fan here. Since we had a terrible season, I'm hoping the Preds go on a long playoff run. Best of luck to you guys!

This one is my favorite. Highly recommend changing the quality to HD, going full screen and wearing headphones. I think you'll need to watch it on YouTube to do so, but it's worth it.

In the west almost all the teams have had sole posession of first place in their division at one point or another this year but one. yep, you guessed it, the nashville predators.

at least by memory anyway. I would love to be wrong

4 vs 5 match ups in each conference look most brutal of all the match ups so far IMO

The east actually looks really darn exciting.
Sens have shown they can beat the Rangers.
Bruins and Capitals will always be fun.
Panthers-Devils..alright, maybe not so much this match up.
And the Pens-Flyers, of which nothing needs to be said.

The Eastern Conference is set,
But the West? Well, not quite yet.
A shot in the dark;
The Kings beat the Sharks,
And Hitchock will say, "Oh ****."

Looks like we playing CHI - PHX pair in second round which is fine with me.

Second pair will be VAN - LAK

still plenty of time left. Detroit was down 2-0 in the 3rd in their last 2 games, and we have come back from 2 down multiple times this season.

I feel sorry for people who have to buy tickets to go see the STL/LA series.

The under/over for goals is probably set at 2.

SJ just getting it hard on themselves-

LAK winning after leading 2 period with 2 up is just like sun raising tomorrow in the East...

It's impossible to know who we might play in the second round until teams start getting knocked out. IF the Blues and Nuks win their first round series, we cannot play CHI or PHX in the second round.

Thinking about 2nd round matchups is premature.

LA must want the Canucks in round 1 because they are gooning it up and have given SJ PP after PP.

In the offseason they mentioned that they wanted their boards like Detroit.

Anyways, here's to a great playoff series Preds.
