My first Pittsburgh/Philly game will be a ****ing playoff series opener. I'm beyond excited.
It's beyond awesome. I went to game 3 of ottawa-Pittsburgh in 2010 here at Scotiabank bank place and there's nothing I would love more than the chance to see a conference final.
Feel so much more confident after the end of the Flyer game last Saturday.
It's like we got our swagger back. If teams start calling us whiners and dirty after every game, then we are doing something right imo.
Yea, we may lose. The reason being, imo, these are the 2 best teams in the conference. It's a shame we aren't meeting in the ECF or 2nd round but it is was it is.
For all those who think a regular season series means jack ****, consider this bit of revisionist history . . .
In 2008-2009, the Flyers were the better regular season team, winning and sometimes dominating in the season series 4-2. Building on that all important regular season momentum, the Flyers went on to defeat the Pens in their first round series en route to the Flyers third Stanley Cup in franchise history, right?
you're kidding yourself if you'd rather play a fourth game at philly. absolutely kidding yourself.
Did I say that? You know, there's a difference between saying the crowd makes the Pens home ice advantage a lot less than it should be and saying I'd rather play the fourth game in Philly. Think about it, and get back to me with a reply . . .

to be fair, when you say you're unhappy about it its hard to really take it another way

you said you would be a little less unhappy.
that implies that you aren't happy about the penguins having home ice
I'd be a little less unhappy if the crowd at the CEC didn't totally suck.
Let's trade our arena and fans in it to Winnipeg for their arena, and fans! Flyers would be intimidated, and Pens would thrive off that constant pressure the crowd would give us.

I was also at that game! Sid scored twice and he signed my jersey before the game. I had an awesome time!
I actually hate the Flyers in a respectful way. Unlike the Rangers who might be the biggest nonfactor garbage team in the league. Really... look at their history. They haven't done much other than play in NYC.
We'll see what Pens team shows up in the playoffs. I'm hoping its the bunch the main boards love.
