Yes. We can't catch anyone in the East, so we're 15th. Only Edmonton & Columbus are below us overall, and we can't catch anyone above us in the West, so we're 28th.
Isles won... We have a top 3 pick secured and possibly a top 2 if the Oilers win tonight!
Of course that does not include what happens in the lottery ... But Nail is a possibility!!!
Top 4 pick secured. If one of the teams behind us win the lottery... We'll get pushed back to the 4th pick.
And we can't get 29th if Oilers win tonight. They need to win both of their games and Leafs need to win against us on Saturday. (regulation or overtime)
Only thing that could change is if Oilers win both of their games and we lose against the Leafs, then we'll get that 29th spot.
The Oilers only need to catch up in points. They have more regulation and overtime wins so they have the first tie breaker on us.
Ideally, the Oilers would get 4 points. In that case, it wouldn't matter if we lost the next game in OT. If the Oilers win one and lose one in OT, we need to lose the next game in regulation to finish 29th.

So we need to lose against the Leafs and have the Oilers win their last 2 correct? Finishing 29th would be nice but I won't complain with finishing 28th.. Just don't **** up this very important lottery pick now is all I ask..
If no one underneath wins the lottery, we're looking at a 3rd overall and up. Worst case: 4th overall.
Oilers can still do it. If they beat Anaheim. We're tied in pts and they've got the ROW and they get the same result in game 82 as our result in our Toronto game, we would be 2nd overall. It's possible.
LMAO Gino Odjik on anti-chambre... He's 'supposedly' sad that we're sucking this year and believes that, in order to win, we should have more french-speaking players! You know Gino... I really want to believe you're some kind of all-knowing god-like figure that knows everything about hockey.... but I have to say... I am dissapoint.

Oilers are at 73 points.
If they win both of their games they'll end up with 77 points.
We currently have 76 points... If we win against the Leafs we'll have 78 points.
I assume if we tie with Anaheim we still finish below them. Just have to hope we don't lose the lottery. Edmonton wins tonight it still gives us a shot at 2nd or 1st overall pick, at worst 3rd, go Oilers !!!
