Currently we're picking 7th. If Anaheim and Minnesota win their games tonight, we're back to 5th. Stop crying...

Anaheim is playing Edmonton...could be a win.
Minny is playing Chicago, 1 period to go only down by 1.

Yep, and nor should they be expected to.

It is frustrating, however, that this effort often comes when it's too late.

Probably Leafs will pick another player like Kadri who will take 3 years to develop in the AHL, but still hasn't crack the NHL lineup yet.

we won another meaningless game.... I wouldn't care if this team didn't take 2 months off... but come on... you show no heart for 2 months and then you do this crap in the final few games?

In response to you from before it's all probabilities, we have a better chance of picking a better player when we get a better draft pick. I'm all for winning when were not mathematically eliminated but what does this win do for us?

False hope?

Anaheim and Minny both need to win tonight. Doesn't matter if it's regulation, OT, or SO.....just WIN.

No professional hockey team is going to tank purposely, especially one lead by Brian Burke. Get real.

I'm excited that we'll be able to draft Brendan Gaunce at 7th without people losing their minds.

We are not cheering for them to lose on purpose, we just want them to lose.

Which costs assets. We can trade 2 second round picks to move up 4 spots, one of those picks may be a player some day.

Better chance maybe, but not a guarantee. Too many variables. I'd rather my team have a winning attitude and not dog it for the rest of the season, which could carry over to next.

why would you not want to take a better player in the top 5? I just don't understand this logic.

Where can I get your time machine? Since you've clearly seen the top 10 picks in the 2012 draft play in the NHL...

Anybody who doesn't cheer this win, produced by the most impressive rookie we have had in a long, long time, should not be calling themselves a Leaf fan.

Since the winning attitude helped the past few years when the Leafs had strong finishes, right?

And that's only if you have a willing trade partner. Would be so much better just to earn the high pick outright.

If we draft 7 we will probably take one of the d-men.
