????- lecavalier- st.louis

Tyrell-thompson-Pyatt

Hedman-?????
Brewer- lee
Aullie-mikkelson

3-day weekend Epcot pass, and it's a deal.

There is no consensus amongst Pens fans about what to do with both Michalek and Martin. Personally, I only view Michalek being moved if Martin is also moved this summer to click the reset button on D to go with youth. I don't think I can give an accurate offer for Michalek, but personally I would ask for Malone.

Cody Franson, Korbinian Holzer and the 35th pick for your 1st round pick.

Hes done, it's more of can he walk without pain than can he skate again right now. I'm going to miss his open ice hits.

Malone for Michalek seems like a great trade from a Tampa perspective, because of our major defensive issues. I think it's a pretty fair trade value wise too. Would be pretty happy if Yzerman made this trade (and I like Malone a lot).

Ehhhh, not a terrible trade, but I don't know how well either of those guys would fit in boucher's system. Not to mention the 1st is likely to be going for a goalie.

Both are better than Aulie.

I don't know how Aulie did for you guys after the trade but Franson is solid #4/5. I don't understand what Ron Wilson had against him. It didn't really get much better after the coaching change to Randy Carlyle. I think Burke just acquired him because the price was cheap. The Maple Leafs likely see Franson as expendable and solely as an asset.

Not sure how much you've watch Franson, but he's a big defenceman, above average skater with a good reach. He is capable of playing the physical game (shows moments of emotional flare and manhandles forwards along the boards), good puck distributor and an absolute bomb of a snap shot. Doesn't take many slap shots. His snap shot delivery is lightning quick and pretty accurate. Competent powerplay defenceman.

Upside: Big defenceman with offensive flare, #4 defenceman, 35-45 points.

Holzer was consistently superior to Aulie in their time with the Marlies. Holzer has been the Marlies' #1 defenceman all season long. He has a similar build and style to Luke Schenn. Holzer is a very good penalty killing defenceman with very good (and improving) strength and decision making.

Upside: Defensive work horse, #5 defenceman, 15-20 points.

Our lines will have Purcell-Stamkos-Marty, Malone-Vinny-Connolly, Conacher-Pyatt-Brown, Tyrell-Thompson-Wyman. Our D will be ???-Hedman, Lee-Brewer, Aullie/Mikkelson/MAB. I'm doing this on my phone so not as well set up as I'd like.

That's a terrible trade, our 1st will be better than either of those players. We already have 3 2nd's so don't need more. We can probably get Franson for a 2nd or 3rd and with a deep group of D in this draft can get some decent prospects with our picks and build up the system.

Could Burke trade Franson+ for a late first and then use that to move up more? I could see him doing that to take Yaks and Galch.

Purely based on value, that might seem like a fair enough trade, but Hedman fits Bouchers system very well and trading him might be a step backwards for the team (even with Del Zotto coming in).

A trade for just MDZ or Girardi might be more likely. My gut feeling says Girardi would be the best target, how have they played this yr?
1. Stepan has experience at W, and if you chose to move large LeCav contract, he would fit the bill.

2. We can consider a G prospect

3. MDZ = puck mover. Girardi is not. So we can talk Girardi separately, but if MDZ is in equation, Hedman must come back.
