I really wanted to see a team buy a Premiership title as well...
On second thought, no, sorry. I don't. Even over United I'll never be okay with them winning a league, and I don't believe they'll ever be stable enough to do so. I'm not backing either club but you guys know what I mean. Eventually the money will dry up as well.

You buy titles in European football (top level leagues). Well, maybe except for Bundesliga.

Full disclosure: I'm Bayern fan.
Bayern buys the title in the bundesliga, but not as bad as other leagues. A bunch of players in the Bayern lineup are youth team products like Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Muller, and Badstuber. But of course you have the guys like Ribery, Robben, Neuer, and Gomez who were bought. The League is just more competitive I think.
The difference between a Bayern and Manchester City is that Bayern's wealth is organic and based upon profits and revenue they have cultivated on the merits of their club. City's is not. They get their cash from a stream that has nothing to do with football and that is why people have an issue with it.

If only Arsenal were willing to spend all the football produced cash they have made, especially from the Cesc and Nasri sales
It'll be interesting to see how much Newcastle have in the tank following Friday. After Cisse's first goal, NUFC dropped deep, created a defensive box around the penalty area and were content to let Swansea have the ball in non-threatening areas.
The first half made for a weird spectacle. Swansea had 75% possession, they were attractive to watch, but they couldn't find a way either around or through Newcastle, Sigurdsson's long-range shot aside. I'm normally a nervous watcher, but I wasn't during those first 45 minutes. Perch was outstanding again, Williamson excellent and Santon looked happier. Tiote showed huge discipline.
It's hard to maintain focus without the ball for large stretches and after the break Swansea were more vigorous. Those two factors, plus the Newcastle forwards' tendency to perpetrate too many inaccurate one-twos put the defence under increased pressure in the second half. Krul wasn't forced to perform wonders, but Swansea now had 80% possession a home goal seemed likely. Then Cisse scored and Swansea's morale died.
Give Swansea money and they might become special; Newcastle without an in-form striker would struggle badly but so it goes. If more Welsh people liked football rather than rugby, the Swans wouldn't be at such a disadvantage.

I don't think it should really matter. You gotta spend in football. People have issue with it because of jealousy. I don't.
Hatem Ben Arfa is showing you guys why I've always been so high on him. The guy is one of the most talented footballers on the planet. Lots of work to do in the head, the attitude and the laziness, but the potential is Golden Ball worth.
Tottenham will finish 4th still, but a lot of the momentum they had is gone and they vastly need to improve their squad, especially defensively. Look at their fixtures, playing relegation threatened teams at the end of the season is always tricky, but they have no excuses for blowing 4th place away considering the fixtures Chelsea and Newcastle both have
