Any other Canucks fans dislike Kesler?

This has been building up in me for a while. I love the Canucks more than anything. However, I really don't like watching Ryan Kesler play or like his personality for the following reasons:

1. He is chippy, dives, mucks it up every whistle only to look like he's hurt when somebody crosschecks him back. At least Burrows picks his spot. Kesler's antics are getting tiring to watch.
2. He was amazing in the Nashville series. There is no reason he should be scoring at the rate is currently scoring. In my opinion he is dogging it until the playoffs. That is poor leadership.
3. His attitude towards the press is poor. Many people who have met him have posted that he was the biggest A-hole on the Canucks and doesn't stick around for autographs, etc. Also I didn't like his response to Vigneault's comments earlier this year.
4. He lacks creativity on the ice. In my opinion his 40 goal season was created out of the Sedins magic last season. He is still a great 2 way player, but his offense without our amazing powerplay last year is 60-70 points. Jason Blake scored 40 goals once. Just saying.
5. This I don't blame him for...but I think he will be a shell of his former self in a couple of years. His style of play leads to constant injuries and he will be worn down, and his contract might be looking pretty brutal. Can't wait to see his cocky personality then, when he is no longer an "all star".

For the record these opinions are all subject to change if he leads us to the Stanley Cup .

Kesler is a huge part of this team. Sad that you're writing him off.

Canucks turning on their own players yet again. Fickleness at its finest.

He somewhat annoys me too, but you can't argue with results. I'll deal with my annoyance as long as he produces

Congrats. Not often do I disagree with everything someone says in a long post. But here? Nope. Just nothing redeeming about anyone of your points. And your last line destroys all your credibility.

Sorry but I have no time for you if you're a Canuck ''fan'' that dislikes Kesler. He's a hell of a player, and the organization has done a horrible job getting him steady linemates the past 3 years.

We got him Booth, but he needs a heads up playmaker as well.

Yes and no. When he plays physically and positionally he is a treat to watch. But when he starts diving and not passing he becomes annoying to watch.

But mostly love him.

I'm glad you guys like him. I like Luongo. I guess I'm at odds with most Canucks fans, which doesn't bother me. I guess that there is not sufficient criticism of Kesler, considering the standard that players like Luongo, Sedins and Naslund were held to while he was were here.

I also find that he was better behaved on the ice last year in terms of trash talking, and it showed in his play.

BTW, fickle is one thing you could not call me as a fan. I've been a Canucks fan since the Keenan years. This has nothing to do with his "slump".

And maybe I lose credibility with my last line. But I've yet to see more than one series to justify the "playoff hero" status that Kesler has. So hopefully I am wrong about him.

I love him, but I admit he needs to pass more.

I also love Hansen, but I admit he needs to pass less.

You can see flaws in a player's game and still like him.

Attitude wise, he's like our Patrick Kane, and I don't know many Hawks fans who don't love Patty Kane.

All he wants to do is win, most of the good young American players have a similar attitude to his. I personally like it, but can understand why some people who are used to humble, good ol' doggone Canadian boy attitudes.

He's still my favorite player but he's been really frustrating to watch most of this season. No doubt Kes and Burr are the heart and soul of this team. We only have chance on cup if Kesler steps up his game.

11 games with 1 assist and -5, yet he plays a lot of power play. He sucks right now. Stop your blind love people. We need him to score and if it continues like this we will be out in the first round.

Kesler is not a third liner and we got a third line to do all the checking, he needs to freaking score! He is no different than Raymond and Booth. They are terrible players right now!

If you want to argue my opinion, come on bring some stats!

Kesler sucks right now! I hate him right now because he is getting spoon fed power play time and twenty minutes a night without any results.

What? Can you at least explain why he is a god? He is a good/very good player, NO DOUBT. But what am I missing here that makes him a god? Somebody please fill me in.

Yes, let's trade Kesler for a bag of pucks.

so a player has offseason surgery that directly affects his skating, puts him months behind in training and everyone else. then you still question why hes not as dynamic. do you use common sense?

Congrats OP for making me laugh. You truly are something. What an irrational post filled with fallacies. How any canuck fan can dislike or hate kesler is beyond me. Sure he has attitude problems, but to say he's dogging it for the season is complete idiocy, not to mention your other bs comments which are also evidently nonsensical.

This is the same guy who said he's the most overrated player in the league so I'd take his posts as a grain of salt, while actively supporting other canucks.

No no, you can not use logic here in this thread.
