I was gonna put it up today

This looks great, though. Glad to get this started.

As for the poll... Honka for me. Great showing in the AHL, really seemed to come on strong late too, and he's got the highest potential outside of Guryanov IMO.

This is a hard one. Honka will probably take #1, and not that he shouldn't, but his size worries me that he'll never be more then a PP specialist/2nd pairing Dman. He still has a high ceiling and he did good in his first AHL season.

For me though Guryanov's upside is higher then Honka's. Maybe not by that much, but his offensive skills are very good. His shot is probably the best out of all the 2015 draft players. He needs to work on his 2way game and isn't very physical.

Hard to pick who's number 1 for me, but I'm going with Guryanov

I hope whoever voted for Shore was joking lol

I went with Guryanov. I think he's just about as close to cracking the NHL in a permanent capacity as Honka. The SIZE + skill combo is what puts him over Honka for me. Russian factor aside.

Me too. I think his ceiling is that of Ovechkin Lite, or perhaps Bure with an attitude. Not 100% convinced Honka's gonna be an elite defenseman, or more than just a good one. They're 1a and 1b though

I'm still wondering how the hell Campbell ended up at #2 last year...

Pretty sure I voted for him there too

Got to go Honka just because he's more proven then Guryanov. Guryanov might have the higher upside right now but Honka is closer to reaching his potential of a top 4 dman pp specialist and 31 points in 68 games in the AHl at 18 is pretty impressive.

Im curious to see how high Lindell will rise in the rankings this year might even crack the top 5.

Guryanov is an unknown quantity. A wildcard prospect.

I'm unsure how many can attempt to knight a guy who didn't crack the roster of one of the most abysmal KHL teams last season.

I think you guys need to pump the breaks on the Guryanov praise, or at least wait until he gets KHL time.

Honka on the other hand, while short in stature makes up for it with his borderline elite decision making. He thinks the game at a quick pace and fit in the AHL last year no sweat.

Maybe in four years this post looks silly (I was looking through Ivan Vishnevskiy posts last night) but it's hard to not give Julius Honka the Dallas Stars Prospect Crown.

That's the maddening part. When he plays, he has great stats like that (at the AHL level). But he just hasn't gotten many games to play and develop due to various reasons.

I'm not worried about him not making that KHL team, for me it's his shot, speed, passing etc. He's just got so much upside, but like I said in my first post, I have no problem with Honka going number 1. I just think ceiling wise Guryanov could be the better player. Only time will tell

Gonna get this one wrapped up later tonight. #2 will be up shortly after.

I think the top three are pretty clear now so these should go by relatively fast.
