Steps is not injured. He was smiling on the bench and conversing.

It'll be sore, but a week from now hell be good to go.

This is partially on Torts and his nonsense of not resting anyone. Not saying Stepan would have been the one to sit but it could have been Richards, Gaborik, or Callahan that got injured.

10 games would be way over the top. This should be four games at the most. Of course, knowing Bettman it will be nothing.

Bettman doesn't make the suspension decisions. I believe it's Shanahan that does.

Will these ****ing idiots shut up already? Penguins have just pissed off the Flyers, Bruins, and Rangers. Considering it's very likely that a trip to the SCF could require going through all of these teams, the penguins should not have done that. Let's see Shanny do anything about this. Although I'm positive that it's not his ultimate decision. Someone from higher up will let the Penguins get away with another cheap shot.

And look at how much has been said about the poster team of the NHL:

Milbury called Cindy a coward, and then was forced to apologize.

Berube said Cindy and Malkin are the dirtiest players on their team.

And now Torts full on bashes the organization's integrity.

And guess what? Those *****es deserve that, and more.
God knows why but they lead a charmed life in this league, let's give them 2 superstars, let's give them 8 PP's a game, it's sickening, I hope Philly destroys them...

i don't think he is injured ; but yeah there must be a sanction for this hit ,Tort was so angry on his aftergame interview on nhl.com he obviously doesn't play the puck ; just wanna see what could have happend if he had not hit Stepan ,what Tort said is right...
besides the play of the team was bad ; hope that in the playoff it's going to be better specially if we play pittsburgh after the caps !!!

Oh man Tort's post game interview about that brought out even more respect for that guy. It's on NHL.com for those who didn't see - probably going to earn him a fine because that's how this league has been lately.

That outburst on the bench and afterwards had nothing to do with that hit. That had more to do with bring attention to things that seem to keep happening with the Penguins time after time.

That is going to be a good point of reference outburst if the Rangers are to meet Pittsburgh down the road in the playoffs.

Flyers fan here in peace, I really hope Stepan isn't injured, Vitale got Grossmann with a knee on knee, so we know how you guys feel, and my respect level for Torts just went through the roof for calling out not only the Pens orginazation, calling out the 2 biggest sissies in the league, the Flyers are definately going to bring it against these clowns in the playoffs hopefully we take care of business and put these whiners out

I think we are all behind you with that. I doubt there are more than a small handful, if any, Rangers fans who want Pittsburgh to beat the Flyers.

Likewise if the Rangers were playing Pittsburgh, I suspect there would be very few Flyers fans not backing the Rangers.

Wasn't on the computer at all last night so it wasn't till this morning that I realize 2 main board threads on Torterella's comment were closed.

First Milbury has to apologize to Crosby, and here were not allowed to discuss those comments. Seriously?

If Pittsburgh was to ever play Vancouver in the finals my hockey watching would end two weeks early. The whining would be amazing though.

Anyone concerned the league does something to Torts for complaining about the officiating again?
He was fined for his remarks after the Flyer game and he has essentially done the same thing.

Technically, he wasn't talking about the officials. I don't think Berube got fined, so neither should Torts.

I'm as much a fan of the Rangers as anyone, but I do not want to see the penguins in the PO's.

It's clear as day that we cannot compete with these guys. The style they play and the skill of their top 2 centers in addition to the defensive mindedness of Staal on the 3rd line to go along with his skill poses questions that the Rangers have absolutely no answer for.

2-4 against the Pens this season while giving up 22 goals (an average of 3.66 goals a game) and only scoring 12 goals (for an average of 2 goals a game)

Not sure how I see that changing in the PO's

As for the physicality, their talent level 100% negates any physicality the Rangers attempt.

The Rangers style of play is absolutely negated by the Penguins style and when you add to it the preferential treatment the Penguins receive, I see no way to beat them in a 7 game set.

I hope the Flyers physically abuse the Pens. Gals like Cindy and Gina should not be provided one ounce of respect. I love that Brayden Schenn cross checked that little girl to the ice. I hope they continue to be a very dirty team to the Pens and eliminates them from the PO's.

My bad. I thought he made some comments about the officials as well.
Disregard my post.
