Nothing quite as exciting as Detroit at Nashville in the playoffs! That series just has a different feeling to it, you can feel the tension in the air as if the enormity of the series is weighing on the arena. It's definitely a different feeling than San Jose, Anaheim or Vancouver. Chicago comes close but it's just not Detroit.
How crazy is it that we are facing the FIFTH SEED Red Wings? The first round is going to be insane for me. I'm a Pittsburgh fan, too. Nashville v Detroit. Pittsburgh v Philly

Unbelievable rollercoaster of emotions during that game. One of my best friends is a Blackhawks fan and we were talking on the phone about figuring out tickets in Nashville near each other when DET scored the first goal.
The key to this series is playing all 60 minutes cause the Redwings can score/make a comeback w/ 5 secs left in the game. So until it's 0 secs left in the game, the game isn't over against the Redwings.
This will be just like the second San Jose series. We have a good team but end up playing one of the stronger teams in the playoffs. Sounds like another first round exit. Detroit just knows how to win and are getting their guys back rested.

You are even more negative than I am.
Believe it or not, I think our chances are pretty good in this one. Like the series vs the ducks, I think they have higher end gamebreakers, but our depth is the best it's ever been, and I think goaltending will be the difference.
Hopefully Pekka doesn't need a round to get himself straight, like last season
At least we don't have SOB to take costly penalties and guarantee GA, this go round.

That was half a decade ago my friend. Completely different team with mostly completely different players.
