I don't think you should read into that too much. He's just in Nashville to take some of the workload off of Pekka in practice. Lindback appears to be fine. Pickard won't dress for a game. We would use Smith as a backup before Pickard.

Sounds about right. It defiantly looked worse when I took a look at the replay. But it also didn't seem like there was much force behind it. Tough call, glad I didn't have to make it.
That's huge. Now if we can get Gill back we will be set.
Considering he may have skated briefly once in the last 7 days, I doubt we'll see him for a while. When he is able to skate, it will take time to get back into playing condition. And the longer he's out, the longer his conditioning will require. I'm hoping he's ready for the 2nd round and doesn't have a break or fracture.
On a positive note, I'm assuming we'll beat the Wings.
I'm thinking the next two/three games are squeaky clean between these two teams. But if someone gets up 3-0 or 3-1 there could be some fireworks.
My fear is that the Wings go clean tomorrow and the Preds come out ready for a brawl and get themselves into penalty trouble. This is one time that I hope Trotz has them level headed and focused on just playing a good clean game.

Sorry, this doesn't have anything to do specifically with this series but, is there a website that tracks, by TOI, which line is matched up against which line. Ex. our "#1" line was on the ice everytime their #1 line was on the ice. Thanks!

If anyone is interested, I've had a crack at doing a Preds wallpaper (1920x1080). I'm hoping to update it with each win the Preds get and I may make some other alterations to it (not sure if it's too subtle in places). Hopefully it will show as an attachment below.
It's good for the Preds that he won't be playing but it's still not something you'd like to see happen, even to an opponent (although I can think of one person who I could quell my grief for should it happen to him). Although he won't be playing again this year, I hope he recovers completely.

As I stated above, the ruling was too harsh on Weber. Not only that, I can't believe they are letting Z getting away with being such a sissy. I hope Weber creams him into next week in Game 2 so he can REALLY know what it feels like to be hit by a "Weber Slam"

The goal scorers averaged about 10 minutes in the game. And Wings fans have been talking about Z getting nearly 26 minutes of TOI last night5 because of Helm's injury.
Helm's speed is gone and will be replaced by a big but slow Sheehan. So the Wings got slower against lines with Bourque and Halischuk.

I think in the playoffs the refs for each series stay the same to build up familiarity and consistency with what is being called (god help us) but I may well be wrong.
I think the Red Wing players are to smart to retaliate right away. They'll wait until the series is over. The last few minutes of the clinching game for whomever it may be could get interesting.
