Goalie-wise I wish we had the opportunity to test Petr Mrazek. Maybe he wouldn't have been as good as Stepanek, but I'd be really interested to see how he would do. After all, Stepanek was in goal for his first ever QF with no experience, so I wouldn't be afraid to try Mrazek (if he was on the team).
Mrazek is still in the OHL playoffs right now. I don't think they could get him over here even if they wanted.

edit: sorry, I misunderstood your post.

I'm happy that someone else noticed too. IMO he's been bad this season. Gotta say I liked even Dusík more sometimes

Well, what I can say? I'm very sad I was watching guys like Tenkrát (guess what, you can't slash the other guy-he did the same thing vs. Sweden), Nedvěd (you know, you have to help in defense too, right? use your speed on the whole ice), Vondrka (playing 1st line in 3rd, are you serious?!?), Mojžíš (playing puck like a hot potatoe) and Krajíček (who played without any effort, I don't believe this guy needs shower after games).

Tlustý was invisible with Tenkrát in line, then he switched to line with Vincour and it was fine (unfortunately their center was Nedvěd, not Plekanec), Kindl looked very average, Vincour got wheels and skills, really enjoyed to watch this guy, Hemský and Plekanec were okay, unfortunately played in bad lines so they had to do something by themself, Štěpánek was fine (except that one goal).

Powerplay was horrible, Hadamczik showed us how you can't do that - it was like watching Pens, where everyone wants to create chance for others, where everyone wants to be the guy - playmaker - who makes the final pass and by everyone I mean Nedvěd, Plekanec and Hemský. It's not working. Only guy who was shooting was Nakládal.

Watching SWE-RUS was like different level of game...

Czech Republic looks like they have a very balanced team.

I would have loved to see a couple of draft-eligible guys like Hertl and Faksa (who are ranked around where the Jets will be drafting) play as well, maybe even Frk and Hyka too.

Almost everything in this post is true. IMO we're not going win anything with Nedvěd on our top6. I'd love if he proved me wrong and scored some big goals in medal round games though.

May be this is not the right place to ask, but what do you think about Červenka? Where will he play next season?

Personally I think he stays in Omsk. But that's really just a tip. Anything can happen with him.

I think there is one problem. I'm not sure he'll want a two way contract. And I don't know whether there will be a team in the NHL which give him a one way contract or not. I know that Leafs had some interests about him before, but I don't know what's its current status.

Yes, he said that. He also said that he would probably accept a two-way contract.

Exactly I would love to see a few (true) youngsters on the roster. The problem is that in Europe the WC is considered more seriously than in NA so we focus on winning the WC rather than try a serious prospect like Hertl, Faksa or Holik. And keeping guys like Tenkrat, Nedved or Mojzis.

That's a news for me. Good for him.

I'll be very curious about him. I hope he'll gets at least one game against some crappy team.

-------------------------------------------------------

btw: send out Holik and keepin' Vondrka?! I'm sorry but sometimes, I just don't understand you Lojza...

He said the exact same thing 2 years ago but then got paid big money in KHL (if I recall correctly, I am not sure. Correct me if I´m wrong). Anyways, what do you guys think - what are the chances of him making the big show? The one thing I´m afraid could hold him back is his slow decision making with the puck and not being patient enough in the AHL (if he actually get sent there).

Oh, and here is what I would do if I was a coach:

Milan Michalek - David Krejci - Jiri Tlusty
Tomas Vincour - Tomas Plekanec - Ales Hemsky
Michael Frolik - Jiri Novotny - Petr Prucha
Jakub Petruzalek - Petr Koukal - Lukas Kaspar
xx - Jan Kovar

Jakub Nakladal - Miroslav Blatak
Petr Caslava - Jakub Kindl
Ondrej Nemec - Lukas Krajicek
xx - Mojzis or Kutlak? eww

Kovar or Stepanek? not really sure. I say - if Kovar plays well enough today, try him.

thoughts?

I'm quite sure that he wanted only one-way contract 2 years ago. He should know this year is probably his last chance to try the NHL. I hope some team will give him a chance.

Tlustý and Michálek are both LW. Tustý and Pleks showed some chemistry IMO, so I'd make it Tlustý-Pleks-Hemský. I won't write down the rest, because I feel that Nedvěd is a lock on top 6 for Hadamczik which is just wrong and it will hurt us in the most important games. Wish I would be wrong about this.

Tlusty can play RW too, he is pretty versatile. But, yeah, he played mostly LW this year. I would rather have big, strong winger with good board play and good shot (Vincour) to complement dangling Hemsky, would mesh together nicely with Plek´s two way play.
Tlusty on the 1st line would provide good defensive play and would do all the little things, so Krejci and Michalek could focus more on scoring goals.
And yeah, I´m confident Alois will do something incredibly stupid, like you said (Nedved? really? The only way I´d be ok with Nedved in the line-up is if he can be a PP specialist, but even then...to me it seems like a waste of a roster spot).

Now with KHL playoffs over, are Cervenka and Klepis expected? I know Skoula and Kvapil are out.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!! I'm starting to believe in the team a lot more now. I know he's young, but I like him more than Stepanek. Call me crazy, but I'm going to call it now, I bet he starts in the QF

You have to make the quarter-finals first.

Nedvěd with another stick penalty. this is going to kill us in the tournament. and please give Hemsky some hockey players who at least come close to his level, not guys like Vondrka who will spoil every action he creates. I wish he kicked out Vondrka and Nedvěd + put Tenkrát in the crowd, that could help. Unfortunately, that probably won't happen.

I agree with all of this. Plus strip Plekanec of the captaincy, his stupid penalties are starting to piss me off.
