Come on? You're resigning coach BEFORE WC???

I guess he won EHT after 14 years so he's the greatest of all time.

Just

btw it makes no sense to extend the coaches contract just before the tournament. if we at least won a medal, then it would be justifiable, but now? no way. he's a good coach, but some change would the best right now IMO.

We have awful defense. Offense is OK. Goaltending questionable at best. Key will be QF as always. And i think we should get there without problem.

Not sure, because I know nothing about BĹG. Hadamczik is good coach, but he has many flaws (off the coaching), fans also don't like him because he "hasn't won anything". Well, he won EHT now, but that won't do it for people. The consensus not only here was that it would be good to see some new face on the bench after this season. Personally I'm not his hater, but I'de prefer him to go too.

Yep, and apparently he is going to play on the 2nd line with Frolík and Plekanec. Poor Pleky.

The underlined part I'm strongly disagreeing with and the bolded part I'm laughing at. We've got Plekanec, Hemský, Krejčí or M. Michálek for God's sake. Certainly not a gold medal contender but let's get real here.
I don't understand your second sentence.

The Bruins board may crash.

Poor Pleky indeed.

Curious to see how Krejci will do.

Usually I agree with what the Svaz does but this is total bollocks and absolute ****. Had had better get us a gold medal soon or I will be even more pissed off than I am now.

Poor old Kvapil though, he won't be able to play for the national team until 2016

This season was beyond awful for Jaskin. He had only 1 goal and 1 assist in like 30 games, so yeah, not anywhere close. I honestly don't know what happened to him. From what i saw, he didn't really look that bad, but he simply can't get the puck in the net...

I thought about this too. If it's true, call me crazy, but it's a good thing. Král has some flaws from the past for sure, but he's the guy who brought in Lener and finally started some changes to improve our youth development programs 2 years ago. I want him to stay in charge more than anything right now. If that means Hadamczik stays with the NT, I'm ok with that.

Kaberle didn't want to go (i forgot the reason, but whatever, it's not like we don't have already plenty of defensive liabilities), Kuba is UFA after this season, Martinek, Smid and Hejda are injured, Kindl didn't make the team, Spacek is ... well Spacek, everyone else (Klesla, Rozsival, Zidlicky, Polak, Kubina , Hamrlik) are still in the PO. So yeah, Michalek is our only hope. That being said, i don't think, that his wife would be pleased if he decided to go to Finland right after his child was born.

It's not that big a surprise. We haven't been able to produce some solid defensemen in recent years and this is just the consequence. Our youngest regular NHL defenseman is 25 (Kindl). If you take into account the injuries some guys have (Smid, Michalek?), some guys who don't want to come because of various reasons (Kaberle, Kuba) and guys who are in play off (Polak, Zidlicky, Klesla etc.) then there's not much to choose from. In recent years in WHC, we have never had big number of NHL defensemen (2011 - 2, 2010 - 1, 2009 - 2).

So it seems that Krejci line is the first line. I am ok with it. I think Nedvěd line should be the fourth line, but probabaly isn't. Tenkrát and Vondrka....well, lets see.

Tenkrat and Vondrka in front of Koukal and Vincour is still a joke of the year... But I'm looking forward for today game.

Plus, I just watched "Tym na hrane" (Team on the edge) about 2010 Czech golden team so I'm ready

This is first part and there are eight parts on YT. But only in Czech language. I hope someone will make English subtitles so others can enjoy it as well
