NHL Center Ice give you Playoffs?

Guys,

I don't post here much but I read often. I am in Miami in law school and I have NHL Center Ice so I can watch the Rangers. Does anyone here have Center Ice and know if the first 2 rounds of the playoffs will be covered? I am worried I won't be able to catch the games.

If not, does anyone know a way to get the games through another source? Thanks, your help is appreciated.

I have center ice and I don't believe it covers playoffs. You can use firstrowsports.eu. It covers all the games but not in the quality of game center

No, Center Ice doesn't carry the playoffs, but all playoff games are nationally televised, on NBC Sports Network, NBC, CNBC, and the NHL Network.

I can't believe they wont' show the playoff games. If they aren't on NBC I won't be able to see them.

NHL Center Ice has always carried the first two rounds in the past. Not sure how it's going to work this year for the first round, since exclusivity for NBC/NSC Sports/etc. does not start until the second round, but they'll still cover the first round.

This year they will not do any playoff broadcasts, you will have to watch them on the NBC family of networks.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=26371

"No, there are no Stanley Cup playoff games included in your NHL CENTER ICE subscription. "

Then the NBC family of networks has a high standard to live up to. Center Ice did a great job carrying the first two rounds in the past.

its obnoxious that you cant get home broadcasters for atleast a couple rounds anymore. i think the local guys get MSG for round 1, but center ice is completely gone for me now. Cya Sam Rosen

If I had to guess, NBC will just be picking up regional feeds for their non marquee games. I can't see them sending out a whole production crew and announcing team for all games in the 1st round.

I just hope I'll be able to watch all the games. Sometimes there are 4 at once. How do they decide which is shown?

NHL Network, NBC Sports Network, and CNBC if you look at the ads.

They won't have more than three games at once.

Every single game will be shown. CNBC, NBC Sports, NBC, and NHLN, with other NBCU channels if needed.

Center ice is in high def. Your provider may not carry it in high def.

ok... then the only thing i have to worry about is a random blackout. I live in Hartford, don't have MSG yet sometimes a NHLN or VS, I mean NBC Sports, is blacked out and nobody at COX, my cable company, can ever give me an explanation.

Heck with NHL Center Ice I couldn't get any freaking home games for the Leafs this year due to blackouts cuz they think I am going to drive 4 hrs or more from Sarnia ON Canada to see the Leafs ... total joke ...

oh wait they were blacked out on NHL Center Ice cuz $30+ isn't enough to spend and so if I wanted to see those games I had to pay for more sports channels on Cogeco cable

I haven't had Center Ice for a couple of years because Cablevision doesn't have it in Hi-Def but when I had it they had every game from beginning to end that wasn't on broadcast TV with your local team's blacked out. When the Rangers swept the Thrashers they even had the Atlanta feed on.

Yes, every single game is televised nationally for the first time ever. Thank you to NBC and the NHL.

Yes it is but they cease live programming at 7 PM, making it a perfect channel for use.

Maybe find a bar or casino that shows every sports game. I don't get the NHL Network at home, so I'll have to head to a public space whenever a game is on that channel.

Luckily in Buffalo, it's not too tough to find a bar showing hockey.
