Kopitar 50 Assists - 1st Time In Career

Kinda odd, first time in his career that Kopi has hit the 50 assists mark.

Congrats !

I hope we use Carter on his line, just for one game!

He is collecting assists like crazy. I hope for at least 4 more points in the last game and a win for the Kings!

If the Kings can maintain this offensive pace that they've had since acquiring Carter into next season, I would venture to guess that they'll have a lot more success and possibly find themselves atop the division and competing for a Conference title.

yes, but they need to find some balance as well. i would rather see 3-1 and 4-2 wins, than what we witnessed last night.

Staying out of the box would help in that area. And it also was one of Quick's weakest performances. Their play at even strength for the most part was exceptional. LA's PP was also clicking, however, their PK (and goaltending), let them down last night.

If at the very least they maintain a GF average of 2.5 or better along with their stingy defense, they could avoid having to be in so many OT and Shootout situations that have not been very favorable for the Kings.

Given the down year the team has had offensively, I think Kopitar, along with Brown, Williams, Richards, Carter, etc. can have more productive seasons next year, especially with Terry Murray gone and Darryl Sutter pushing them to compete harder.

Next stop: 40 goals (next season). And then hopefully 100 points.

First time any King has broken the 50 assist mark since Lubo did it in 05-06.
