So, how was that year long safari? It hasn't been so pleasant to be a Phoenix fan on the main boards.

Not going to happen. Sorry. They would make a lovely bonfire though.

For someone who kept clamoring about having said to have "moved on from the bitter", you sure don't sound like you have. You clearly still see red.

Anyways, enjoy your playoff run.

I don't recall ever posting that. You seem to confuse bitter with abject disdain

For that matter, I would like to take down the WPG jerseys on our rafters, burn them in a pre-playoff bonfire, and send the ashes down to the Atlanta Thrashers Booster Club. Since the Jets refuse to acknowledge the Thrashers of years past, at least Atlanta can have the ashes of the Jets of years past.
Just wonderin', did Phoenix acknowledge Jets of years past in their first season?

And by the way, the Jets gave out the Dan Snyder Award today. You know, a former Thrashers' player who is sadly no longer with us.

I didn't hang out on AZ Central. And just based on our #s of posts, you must spend more time here than I do. I don't read the BoH much, either.

So maybe you are more impacted by the treatment than I am.

I know when I go to the games, I resent Red Wings fans most. Anyway we could burn some of their banners???

AZ central had to shut down the comment section for awhile because it was so bad. The BoH board was/is a mess. This forum is our only safe haven, and even then some antagonists slip by at times.

I don't mind it so much. If I have to dress like I'm going to a hockey game when it's over 90 degrees outside, I don't mind wearing all white. Reflects the sun. (Even bought new white trousers when we finally returned to the playoffs two years ago; coworkers said I looked very 'dapper', lol)

Why do you bother posting in the Phoenix Coyotes section of this forum? Have you ever considered not stopping by?

Well the amount of cloths I would wear going outside when I lived in flag was also comical. However I will go for a run during the middle of the day in july in phoenix so to each their own.

Yes they did. Remember, we didn't try to recruit/steal/rip away your team. It was headed to Minnesota. When that fell through, the team had no where to go and ended up here. Much like what Jets fans say happened to the Thrashers.

Well, the team is promoting the White Out. I guess it's ours along with those stale unwanted jersies hanging from the rafters. Such is life.

I used to love the whiteout. Then we quit making the playoffs and other teams in other sports borrowed the white out, and then when we got back, we lost two years in a row in the first round. I'll love the whiteout again when we make it into the second round. Until then it's just a reminder to me how up to now we've always managed to exit in the first round when we did make the playoffs...

Well its here to stay; I will embrace it. The only reason I look down on it is because of all the relocation talk last year. Plenty of other teams do it so why not take it to the extreme? Time to find white pants! Next year, Sandout (although that color is harder to find).

I think it makes sense for the Jets history, logos, etc to be transferred back to Winnipeg. I don't think it makes sense to retain it with the Coyotes and I seriously doubt many people in AZ would be too upset.

There are only a handful of colors available, so I can't see how anyone can claim the exclusivity of wearing all one color during the playoffs. What, do 8 teams get to claim the primary and secondary colors, black and white? Then the Coyotes get forced to use something like "Rustic Auburn Sunset"?

I'm fine with the whiteout. I'm fine if we all wear white and call it something else. I think red would be cool too. We have a red jersey and the seats in jobing.com are red so it would truly be a sea of red.

The White Out is practically the only thing my non-hockey friends associate with the Coyotes and all think it's pretty cool. Scrapping the one tradition the team has had since it's been here seems silly to me. Luckily I don't think it's going to happen, as long as the Yotes are here the White Out will stay as well and for that I'm glad.

I have talked 6 into attending Game 1, I hope the Coyotes can take it from there! That said, conversion is pretty tough these days without a freaking owner. I hope someone steps up and does it soon.

My first memory of the White Out, is JR's cannon blast from just behind the blue line. I can still perfectly picture that puck squirting out behind Osgood and the crowd going nuts. It was my first ever NHL playoff game and I've been hooked ever since!

Found it!
