Really upset I missed the game but you said it Muppet: we can beat anyone. I LOVE this team!
This. I wish the team showed up every night. They played really solid hockey. We took the Blues off their game, and really controlled the puck. If they play like this tomorrow night, we have a very good shot at the division, and I'm excited to enter the playoffs with the play if it continues.
A hit that looks bad in the eyes of a teammate, they will jump on it in a heartbeat! That's the NHL way. I applaud this whenever it happens, no matter what team. I would hate to see someone get hit hard, where at first glance it might have been a hit that was intent to injure, and others that aren't clean hits, or even clean hits that are brutal hits, and nobody on their team responds. It's a part of the game. It might have been a clean hit, but as a quick reaction for a teammate you care about, it's a bit personal.
Probably best I don't post anymore, but damnit I love this team. Nobody outside of a Coyote fan and half a brain picked this team to win the division, let alone make the playoffs. Smith has been amazing, and this team has been something else completely. Sure, there have been plenty of games where we didn't deserve to win. But tonight, this team showed up, and looked like a playoff team. Who cares we lost 3 times already against them, we are in the playoffs. We are fighting for a division title. You are fighting for #1 in the west overall? Big deal. I hope this team shows the determination it showed tonight the rest of the way this season. Leave or stay, I'm proud to be a Coyotes fan right now.
Thank you so much for posting these videos, it's greatly appreciated by this european hockey fan who usually has nothing more than the vids on nhl.com to follow his team by picture .
I overheard in one of these videos, that Vrbata is the first coyote player to hit 34 goals in a season since J.R. in the 99/2000 season, that's kinda mindblowing and a great acievement for him...

It's actually depressing, really, when you think about it. I wonder if the Coyotes will ever be able to draft or afford a 40 goal + guy. Let's trade for Rick Nash.
I don't get Langkow centering Brule and Torres. Total waste. Put Chipchura in there and rest the old man.
SERIOUSLY?
You wanna take a guy out of the lineup who has 6 points in the last 8 games? 3 of those Brule & Torres also had points on. 9 points together over the last 8 games....Break that crap up?
Mind-boggling....I'm a big fan of Chips, but that is Stupid.

Nash would be a great fit, doubt that Maloney would want to trade for that contract or give up the assets to acquire Nash.
For the year, Chip has one point for every 34 minutes played, Langkow one pt per 37.
Is that the only stat that matters? No, but given the chance I think Chip's numbers would be much higher, plus he delivers more grit.
And how many of those points are playing with Brule and Torres? Why on earth would you disrupt chemistry in the bottom 6 forwards when they are putting up points.
I'm sure you have a 'reasonable' explanation....LMAO!

I want to win the cup, and Tip, as great a coach as he is, has a preference for vets that I think sometimes hurts the teams effectiveness.
Id only take langkow out to rest him before the playoff grind.
I hope pyatt turns it on tonight and gets into gear for the playoffs. Uses his body much more instead of just his grit. If we could get him to throw his body around we could really wear down a defense with doan, torres and pyatt punishing them for 60 minutes
More grit, more speed, more everything. Langkow isn't creating and putting him with 2 fast grinders doesn't make sense, mild scoring or not.
'Mild scoring'. Brilliant! What kind of scoring do you expect from bottom 6 forwards?
yeah, his pass to Yandle yesterday created nothing
Of course I suppose without the 'mild scoring' over the last 8 games (5-1-2) we'd have a better draft pick....which I can only assume is what you're after.
I guess I have to realize I'm wasting energy if after 3 consecutive 40 win seasons, and a huge victory, people just want to complain about Tippett's lineup decisions, and talk about how sad it is that we don't have a 40 goal scorer (while at the same time the same people probably love to criticize the last Coyote who scored 50 goals).
