I know he said that it was a complete accident, but that video definitely looks pretty intentional.
Probably something around 5 games.

Well, I think 5 games would be too much considering Prosser has no prior history.

But the ice was too slippery, those weren't even the right skates and the sun was in his eyes. Pure accident.

It's such a non-factor. Just make him sit out the last game of the year and now he's a "repeat offender".

I think it's a bad comparison but Kaleta got 4 games for this.

EDIT: Kaleta already was a repeat offender at that point though. It may be a terrible comparison after all.

Yeesh, who does Prosser think he is - Nick Johnson?

Well it is the Hawks players fault. If he wouldn't have grabbed Prosser, he wouldn't have gotten headbutted.

I dunno. I can't look at the youtube at work, but didn't he actually get punched in the gut before going over like that?

I figure that if there is a hearing, and since he's a nobody that plays for the Wild...

1 game. Clean slate for next season.

Real question is... Can he report to Houston now, rather than Saturday night... I know the AHL typically abides by the NHL suspensions, but they have made exceptions.

That was a really slow headbutt, slow motion or not, wasn't that bad. I'd say 2, but I voted 3 because its Shanahan. We have the extra game coupons left over from him.

2 games. Seeing Kaleta got 4 games and he is a repeat offender (and Prosser isn't), two seems reasonable.

Props to Mayers for selling the ACCIDENTAL headbutt like he was hit in the face with a baseball bat.

Watch the video ... Prosser never hit Mayers in the lip ...... if you remember during the game, Mayers skated away and covered his mouth for like 30 seconds or more before skating over to the ref. Why? Because he was busy biting his own lip to make it bleed. Quite the little actor he is . I'd expect that from Kane, but not from Mayers. What a little pansy.

Who cares, Shannahan doesn't know what the hell he's doing. I hope he gets fired.

Shanny started out ok, he suspended people but then he stated deviating from that way too much. Butch was driven into the boards pretty bad, spurgie once gets driven once gets elbowed and nothing.

seriously get a 3rd party to make the ruling and show no ****ing mercy regardless of injury, punish the intent and don't buy "but i didn't mean to elbow the guy in the head my arm acted of its own intent"

you hit someone in the head you are gone mother****er.

He kind of reminds me of Gretzky. Great hockey player, but he sucks at the job he got after his NHL career was over.
