I would be worried if I were Nihlstorp.

Haha just noticed the big wheel scene is on there too. Amazing. Kari's got some competition.

I hope he's got that......"shinning", when he's starting games for us, and can tell where the puck's headed before it even leaves the other guy's stick.

I just hope they don't play any games during Willie's time.

****, I'm watching without the sound and there was a whistle to stop play. Completely forgot about the stupid 2 line pass rule while watching a game.

Would you guys do this trade ..

Roy for Turris + Bishop? It's in my GM connected league. Roy is rated at 86 while Turris is 80 and Bishop is 73. But obviously both are younger and will have good potential.

Also would you guys trade Glennie for Friberg straight up?

I'd probably make the Roy trade, pass on the other one. Friberg and Glennie are a wash.

Yeah i'm gonna keep Glennie for now. I confirmed the Roy trade.

Here is how my lineup looks

Quote:
FORWARDS
Loui Eriksson - 85 ($4.250m) / Jamie Benn -86 ($5.500m) / Jaromir Jagr -81 ($4.550m)
Ray Whitney -79 ($4.500m) / Kyle Turris -80 ($1.400m) / Michael Ryder -80 ($3.500m)
Brenden Morrow -83 ($4.100m) / Cody Eakin -? ($0.638m) / Tomas Vincour -68 ($0.800m)
Ryan Garbutt -69 ($0.575m) / Vernon Fiddler -75 ($1.800m) / Eric Nystrom -74 ($1.400m)
Tom Wandell -74 ($0.893m)

DEFENSEMEN
Trevor Daley -84 ($3.300m) / Philip Larsen -73 ($1.025m)
Alex Goligoski -82 ($4.600m) / Stephane Robidas -82 ($3.300m)
Mark Fistric -80 ($1.475m) / Brenden Dillon -? ($0.900m)
Aaron Rome -74 ($1.500m) /

GOALTENDERS
Kari Lehtonen -86 ($3.550m)
Ben Bishop -73 ($0.650m)
Richard Bachman -74 ($0.625m)
Now that I got Bishop, I wanna try and make a move for a forward to replace Whitney that is younger and has a better overall. Gonna try use Campbell, Glennie, Whitney, Robidas and Eakin as tradebait to bring one in. And then whichever players I have left in the ones I just named i'll go for an offensive Dman with them

Not sure if anyone though of this, but if their is a lockout and there is no games played. I think the Stars could be in the lottery for a top5 pick. I was told that the way they rank teams from 1-30 for the draft is by the last 4 years. We haven't made the playoffs for the last 4 years ...

Am I correct?

If they use the same system as in 04-05, then yes we'd get 3 balls.

I'd still rather it not come to that.

Would certainly be the thinnest silver lining ever, though.

Here's an article on the lottery scenario your asking about: http://www.dirtydangle.com/2012/07/w...tery-look.html

As it stands right now, the Stars, Leafs, BJ's, Flames, Wild, Canes and Jets have a 6% chance at 1st overall. So out of those 7 teams, it's 42% likely that one of them will draft #1. The chances at a top 5 pick are pretty good too.

So does Jagr come back/get a contract next year if there's a lock-out?

If it weren't for the Jagr thing it'd be tempting in some small way to just skip this transition year and go into 13-14 with the cavalry of prospects ready for the NHL (Dillon/Nemeth/R. Smith/Chiasson/Glennie ... possibly even Faksa and Oleksiak). And then throw in a lottery pick on top of that.

On the other hand it's never good to waste a year of prime-Eriksson and Benn.

You wonder what kind of damage it would do in this market. Could it get any worse than it was at the start of last year? Hard to imagine. There was some positive momentum after Gaglardi bought the team though so you could squander that away. The team could use it as an opportunity for entirely new fresh start and re-introduction to the community. New unis, new captain, new roster etc.

Is what they should do anyways imo

It would also be our 20th anniversary in Dallas so they could tie that in.

Depends on whether the league rolls back contracts or not.

We would be the Florida Panthers 2005 version of the draft lottery.

Side note on the 2005 draft lottery. I followed the first two picks (30th and 29th overall) on hfboards. Then I saw it was on TV, so I tuned in. When I got to the TV, they were on pick 26 and I didn't bother to see who got picks 28 and 27. It wasn't until there were 3 teams left that I realized the Stars got pick 28.

Seems the Benn camp is the one insisting on waiting till the new CBA.

It makes me feel sick to think about losing an entire year again, but these are some excellent points.

Money-wise I think Dallas would about break even by not having to pay salary.
