Watching plenty of soccer as that's one of the only sports I can get on actual TV here in Korea so more of the same for me.
Also, it feels weird to find out that the last lockout was that many years ago. It literally feels like just a couple years ago to me. It sucks to be such a die hard fan of a sport in such overall disrepair. No other major North American sport does this and for good reason. The NHL only "gets away with it" because it's already a tertiary sport.
Hopefully it means they're already working on a new jersey
Season ticket holders got an email today. Credit for all games not played plus 5% interest. Is the highest interest rate in the league I've seen so far.

It really is mind blowing when you look at Bettman's record. The league is in absolute shambles.
Horrible rule changes
****** expansions (thankfully we work out, until now)
3 lockouts
Horrible new jerseys
More injuries (see horrible rule changes on this one)
He looks like a dick bag.

How is he still in any position of power?
Because he does what the owners want. It's not like Bettman made the decision to have another lockout. The owners made that decision and it falls to Bettman to carry out that decision.

He's the leader, of the leadership of the NHL. Bad leadership = lockouts.

The lockout is completely due to the owners. They are the ones who have to approve a new CBA. You can complain about Bettman all you want. You can point out all of things he's done that you don't like or agree with, but he still has a job because the owners like the way he has run the league. I'm not trying to excuse any of his behavior or argue that he's the best commissioner in all of sports. I'm just pointing out that the owners (at least the majority of the owners) are pleased with what he has done.
Hopefully it means they're already working on a new jersey
