For people not familiar with Dallas ... North Park is Dallas' high end mall.

I think if the stars are very desperate and are proactive they can give him 2 years, which is going to be a risky proposition, but if the dollar amount is cheap then we can probably eat it or send him to the AHL if we need to make roster space.

He might be working KXTA only. With Gina Miller.

Well if he turns into a #1 D he can afford to shop there on a regular basis!

Saw a tweet that the Stars are one of a handful of teams considering Redden.

Aren't all the games on FSSW and + (which chaps my ass to no end)?

This year, yep.

I personally hate games on 21, but I'd take them over the slap in the face of +. Hopefully the Mavs go on a 10 game loosing streak so the Stars get switched to normal FSSW.

At less than 1 mil I'd be okay with that. Be either depth 7/8th dman or a player in Texas to help the young guys along. Right now I am just terrified that we will get some injuries on D and have to play 3/4 rookies.

I'm guessing whatever contract Redden signs next will have a NMC.

I couldn't be more thrilled that there are no games on TXA. I don't live in the metroplex so I don't get it. Now I can see all the games. FSSW+ is fine with me, no different than FSSW since I get both in HD on DirecTV. I know a lot of people don't get it in HD though.

As of opening night, this Stars roster is the lightest in the league, the 2nd shortest, and the 5th oldest.

To be fair they have a lot of incorrect height/weight's listed. For example they have Dillon at 6'2'' 203lbs when he is is really 6'3'' 228lbs. Eakin is also listed at 5'11'' 176lbs but on the official site he is 6'0'' 190lbs.

Not that it would affect the totals that much. Just that a lot of players are incorrect, not just for Dallas but all over the league.

I want to make sure everybody is still aware that Robidas isn't a top 4 defenseman, and the Neal-Goligoski trade is one of the worst in franchise history.

Am starting to think Robidas may not even be an NHL caliber player anymore.

Also losing my optimism about Goli.

On the other hand though, Dillon - Larsen looked like a below-average first pairing tonight. But considering we havent had a pairing I'd consider a first line pairing since Zubov was here, and how young both of them are, that's great.

Dillon was especially impressive. He could be a darkhorse Calder candidate if he keeps this up.

With Schultz? Not a chance.

Please don't join the Edmonton fans in giving him the Calder before he's even played.

And how often do the early favorites for the Calder race actually end up even being a finalist? Not nearly as often as you'd think.

Schultz is a top pairing Dman. Dillon is a mid to last pairing. I wouldn't put a dime on Dillon for the Calder. But I can put hope in the thought

Yep Benn had a rough night unfortunately. Would have preferred to see Oleksiak tonight.

I'd bet more on Tarasenko and Huberdeau.

Doesn't belong here really, but Tarasenko looked damn impressive and more than NHL-ready.
