I am picturing a Crosby-Malkin-MacIntyre line. Kind of like when we'd see Jagr-Lemieux-Oliwa.

im guessing its just insurance if philly decides to dress shelley. if shelley is scratched, chances are macintyre will be too.
philly has to turn in their lineup first.

regardless, this is a move that will have the main board melt down any time now.

Mac is by far the best fighter in the game, people fear him. This is smart. Now I would dress both Sid and Geno and start the game with Geno centering Sid and Mac with Engo on D.

Best case scenario. Massive fight at the beginning, then everyone gets back to playing hockey.

Like I said in the other thread, I've got no problem at all with this. If they're considering gooning it up, I'd rather our boys be prepared for it. Especially given the game is a dead rubber as far as playoff positions are concerned.

Better case scenario, they all rip their shirts off first.

Last game of the season, whatever. It's a travesty he'll touch NHL ice again.

Hate MacIntyre and enforcers in general, but he should sit on the bench with a sign around his neck that says "Now THIS is a goon, coach Laviolette" and his only shift should come with a minute left in the game.

I hate to say it, but I think this is the right move. I would not even play him unless things got out of hand. But it never hurts to have people who can throw down, and that we wont miss in case of a suspension.
