I hate the Rangers, but also respect them abd their fans, and that is what differs from the Pens.
Rangers and Flyers fans are as close to a Steelers/Ravens respect-hate as there is in the league, I think, kind of like the sibling rivalry where the Rangers and Flyers are both adults and the other three teams are the annoying little brothers.

That's his goal. RT @RFehrle: @BroadStBull Will Lavy have them playing a disciplined game, since Pens are trying to show their tough side
It doesn't matter Lavi.
Look at last Sat.
Pitt gooned the whole game and ended up with more PP's than us.
The thing that annoys me the most with pens fans in general is their holier than thou attitude. Entitlement. Stuff like that.
Canucks fans had that same attitude last year when they won the Presidents' Trophy, but everything kind of changed once Boston beat them.
They still have a heck of a lot of arrogant fans, but they've toned it down massively after the Finals.
Pens fans have been really spoiled the last couple of years, with winning the cup, and having arguably the two best players on their team.
So obviously (like any other fan base) their bandwagon has grown...we see it happen all the time in sports.
It would be SO awesome if we're the team that humbles them
I think Kimmo needs to sit, Roo and Jagr need to basically be limited to PP and "soft minutes" and let the 2nd / 3rd lines roll and put in some quality minutes.
I don't think the Flyers need to "goon" it up today--let's be honest, we know that the penalty for a Flyer taking a run at a Penguin will certainly be stiffer than the other way around. I don't buy the momentum / morale argument about the game's importance--both teams know that there is nothing to play for, so I really don't think that either will be devastated psychologically by a loss.

Word is MacIntyre is called up. Hope Lavy tells Shelley to avoid him all game and pick off the other trouble makers (Vitale, Kunitz, Asham). To hell with that big lunatic, let him ride pine.
If Shelley avoids Mac then that would give him an open road to run as many Flyers as he wants.
I wouldn't sit any Flyer regular for this game other then maybe Giroux or Jagr. I would just give them reduced time and play the 3rd/4th line a lot more.

Like this! Except I think the pens are more like a little sisters first boyfriend. They come in the house with a big head and need to be brought back down to earth
