I don't think things need to be kept in line, everything is going just fine as it is, sans 1 coincidence were apparently 3 got made at once. If a mod wants to step in and organize something that's one thing, but I feel like you're just trying to take power in something that isn't there for the taking...

We need to find some Hawks fans who are good with photoshop. Anyone know anybody? I feel like everyone here is pretty clueless, hence the lack of playoff avatars to this point
Why do people have to use your template? I think people should be encouraged to make fancy ones with photoshop. The one the Minnesota board did for the game yesterday was awesome and SJ usually has good ones.
I feel that we need to represent a little bit more with the GDTs. There must be some people around here with graphic design talents.
I agree with this. Why bother to spend a ton of time when somebody else may create one? That's the point of this thread.

I made the playoff avatars last year in a pinch because nobody else had and the playoffs started in a few days I think. They ended up being pretty well received. I'm sure I can come up with something serviceable before Thursday. As far as fancy GDT's go, I would have made one ages ago if GDT's weren't Teemu's thing. I'm planning on doing one for the playoffs at some point.

Well, the Oilers and Wild have had good ones...and given that both teams are out of the playoffs, we could graciously offer the opportunity to make GDTs for us.
My vote too. Seems B&BHawks came out of nowhere and started making them. Not sure why? We've had a guy making them for as long as I remember.
Well Teemu has been kind of MIA for a lot of the season with it. Everyone had been making them, then Belugas went on a winning streak. We didn't win the last game, so someone else should have been up, but then he created this thread almost just so he could be first and go again.
I almost just made 1 at midnight, and I should have considering my record when I make them is pretty bad this year.

Exactly. The idea is a good one but people don't like a noob taking charge. Get over it. Stop knocking people on here for trying to be creative or taking charge. Change is good every once in a while.

Even though my skills aren't great, I'm going to give my best effort for Game 3. I have a very creative mind, but I need to figured out a way to translate that aspect into a very cool hockey forum GDT.

Really? If I feel like making a GDT thread I will, even if I don't sign up on your little sheet. For that matter if I feel like making 10 GDT's for the same god damn game I will.
This is just dumb. If 5 guys want to try and make a GDT then let them, not a big deal then a MOD (you know it is his job) can merge them if he wants.

I don't like it because you are telling me what I can or can't do on a free message board. There is rules to the message boards but after that I can do what I want. And if I want to spend my time making a GDT thread I will for any/all games I want to. After that if you don't want to post in it that's your choice or if a mod wants to merge them then so be it.
Point is if anyone wants to be creative and enjoys making a good looking GDT thread let them. If they get merged then we just have some more good looking posts in the GDT.
I don't see the big deal in making a GDT signup thread. What is the harm?
