I think that is what you will see with regards to LA playing home on Sunday the 15th and Wed the 18th especially if they play Vancouver who will probably open up with Games 1 & 2 on Wed the 11th & Friday the 13th. I think HNIC will want to have a Canadian team on every night in the 1st round.

If they play the Blues apparently St. Louis is scheduled to begin at home on Thurs April 12 and Sat April 14. Would the NHL schedule the Blues\Kings to play on the Saturday afternoon and then play the next night (Sunday April 15) back in LA at say 7:30 PST, it's possible considering how the arena has been booked up during the week of the 16th. I can't see them playing once in LA on the Wed and waiting until Sat April 21 to play game 4 in LA, that's quite a large gap in the schedule and really slows the series down.

What I think Hawks/Coyotes will look like, based on United Center availability. (no other events are scheduled at Jobing)

Game 1 - April 11th PHX
Game 2 - April 13th PHX
Game 3 - April 15th CHI
Game 4 - April 17th CHI
Game 5 - April 19th PHX
Game 6 - April 22nd CHI
Game 7 - April 24th PHX

Imagine if they lose the Coyotes, what a waste of a new arena.

based on msg and scotiabank availability, i'd say this is pretty much set in stone

(1)NEW YORK RANGERS v. (8)OTTAWA SENATORS

THU APR 12 @NYR, 7pm
SAT APR 14 @NYR, 7pm
MON APR 16 @OTT, 7pm
WED APR 18 @OTT, 7pm
FRI APR 20 @NYR, 7pm
SUN APR 22 @OTT, 7pm
TUE APR 24 @NYR, 7pm

CBC will have it in Canada, I imagine 7pm ET starts across the board.

NBC gets some say in that. Game 2 or 6 could likely be a noon ET start.

i had considered that but i don't think NBC wants anything to do with ottawa, especially with PIT/PHI and BOS/WAS out there, 4 of NBC's go-to teams during the season

NBC usually does a Eastern series on one day and Western on the other.

DET-NSH (likely) and PIT-PHI is pretty much a lock for NBC. I really doubt the Rangers will be on NBC.

Well NBC will carry a noon game on Saturdays and a noon and 3pm game on Sundays. Really could just depend on who plays what days.

I really don't see how the nucks kings series doesn't have a back to back in it. Could also be a home a d away back to back.

Elliotte Friedman in 30 Thoughts said that he thinks there will be 6:30 starts so that finishes can be staggered for NBC, so we can't even assume games that are normally 7pm still will be.

I can't see VAN NOT playing game 2 at home on Saturdy, April 14th, for Hockey Night in Canada. Too perfect and I'll be at the game in newly bought Kings Attire.

According to Rich Hammond, LA Kings writer:

Quote:
These things are still being determined, league-wide, but the Kings believe these could be the dates for the first four games against Vancouver…

Game 1 at Vancouver: Thursday, April 12
Game 2 at Vancouver: Saturday, April 14
Game 3 at Los Angeles: Sunday, April 15
Game 4 at Los Angeles: Wednesday, April 18

Why the back-to-back possibility? Because Game 2 is likely to be a Hockey Night in Canada game, and because there are massive scheduling conflicts with the NBA at Staples Center. There are NBA games at Staples Center on five consecutive days, so there would likely be a Clippers-Kings doubleheader on Sunday. Once the Hockey Night situation is finalized, the schedule will be released in the morning.

It says on the Wells Fargo Center website that there's a Philadelphia Soul game there on Sunday 15th at 6 pm. How can they have an NHL game at 3 pm on the same day?

This must be a stupid question, but excuse me, I'm from Europe

They'll push the Soul game back, and they'll be forced to like it.

Think the scheduled times this year are a bit silly, 7:30pm? Why?
