Have always had a spot in my heart for AZ sports teams. I've got some family and friends out in SoCal/Vegas/PHX areas. Have only been to Phoenix a couple times when I was younger, hit up several D-Backs games, and loved it out there. Fully plan on moving out there at some point once I get my degree (going into the aviation field.. good job location out there.. anyways) from UK. But living Lexington, Ky, all we get here is basketball (obviously) and Blue Jackets. Been a big Jackets fan since we started getting all their games on FS Ohio 3 or 4 seasons ago, but that's obviously a different story.. ha. So I'm for the Yotes the 78 games their not playing Columbus. It's also fun to watch all the ex-Jackets that are now playing for you guys, and seeing how much better they can perform under a system that works.. lol. That and the whole ownership charlie foxtrot that's going on, it's hard to not love to watch the Yotes win and royally piss off the ******** Canadians that think hockey doesn't have a place in the desert haha. I probably get to watch somewhere between 25-30 Coyotes games per season between whats on Versus, when they play the Jackets, and when I can get a hold of an online stream. Definitely a fun team to watch.
Fun fact, I used to go to the Men O'War (ECHL) games in Lexington back when Smith was starting for them and was at the game that he scored the open netter in at Rupp Arena. Who woulda thought I'd be watching him in the NHL 9 years later for my number 2 team and doing this good? Haha
I know that feel bro, and I normally root for a division rival! Couple in the 'Yotes hardworking, no superstar team and genius coach in with me being a hockey loving/playing native of the inland SoCal desert (not that far from Phoenix) and it's hard not to love this team right now.

Yeah, but we're just stupid Americans who can't understand the game.
For fans that don't know hockey, they learn it by having a team capture their admiration. You guys are really doing that there in Phoenix. Bandwagon fans are good for the sport. Keep up the good work, I always liked you guys and really hope you make it to the Finals, that should secure your ownership issues.
Most definitely NOT on your bandwagon (got our own thing goin' on in LA).........but, good job so far against Nashville. . Impressive win tonight. Scoring right after your opponent comes within one is like a dagger to the heart and shows killer instinct....and you guys did it twice in that game.
I don't know why? We may not be perfect, but Bettman knows we try. But all around, even our old friends put us down. Letís drop the puck and see what happens.
It's weird isn't it? My buddy was talking about this last night. He was noticing how pro hockey just doesn't seem underdog-friendly (he was really frustrated with NBC's coverage), which he found bewildering since the biggest underdog story ever in American sports was a hockey one (miracle on ice).
I guess I would have to be called a bandwagon fan.
If you look when I registered, it was a while ago. At the time I was a diehard fan. Read this board everyday. Then the lockout came and I swore off the league for nearly a decade.
I hope I am wrong, but it seems like this is the end of the road for the team in Phoenix, and it wouldn't be right for me not to come back to at least see them off. Oh, and see them in the second round, FINALLY!
