Here's the rule

60.3 Double-minor Penalty - When a player carries or holds any part of his stick above the shoulders of the opponent so that injury results, the Referee shall assess a double-minor penalty for all contact that causes an injury, whether accidental or careless, in the opinion of the Referee.

I think they look for blood most times to confirm the injury...but missing teeth is an injury IMO

of course it is. it wouldn't be an nhl rule if the call wasn't subjective

Dammit, missed the first 8 minutes. I didn't remember the game started so early. It seems like the Joe is packed and ready for the playoffs, which is good to see and hear.

The announcers (in general) often mistake Emmerton for Zetterberg, prolly because of their jersey numbers. It's a bit funny to me.

That was a much better shift from Sheahan.

Outside of the double minor, Sheahan looks good. Works on the boards pretty well.

if there's any positive about this recent stretch of games is that they seemed to have figured out the penalty kill

He looks good. I wonder how many players have gotten a penalty on their first ever shift?

Hopefully y'all don't mind me jumping in, might be moving to Detroit in the very near future

Flipper needs to stay back until the puck is actually out of the zone, especially if you're last man back

Is this the best the Wings can come up with? Does not look like a playoff team.

You know what a good fundraiser would be? Go to Michigan and auction off the chance to kick "Edzo" in the nuts.
