So let me see if I have this right, I'm kinda slow... Win or OT we win the SE division. Lose the capitals win the division and we become the 8th seed? Is that right?

yes we can clinch division with a loss of any kind by the capitals.

Yes but the Caps look like they're probably gonna win. So basically we need just 1 point tonight to clinch. Should we lose(and Caps win) we become the 8th seed instead of the 3rd.

You can NEVER count out a powerhouse like Washington in the playoffs, they are in shape just before the PO. And we outplayed them badly for 60 minutes on thursday..
