Last GDT 2011/2012: Predators at Avalanche
Thank you Avs...
Wish we can make the playoff, but let's win tonight and close the season with high note ( and screw Washington pick)!!
Puck drop at 6PM MST.

The Predators will need - at most - one point to clinch the Western Conference’s fourth seed in their regular-season finale at the Pepsi Center as they look for a ninth consecutive victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
And this is why we didn't make playoff: losing to Nashville, Coyotes and our own division has really hurts the standings.

Anyone sitting out because of injuries?
Duchene, Downie, EJ should probably rest.
May as well play Elliott and Barrie for experience.
Play Hejduk with Stastny for his swan song.

Could be Hejduk's last game.

Go out with a bang. Getting to 90 points looks better than 88 points.

Win this game for pride. Win this game for the Washington pick. Win this game for Hejduk. But most importantly, win this game for the fans.

Chicago are up 2-0 against Detroit. If Detroit don't get a point, this game will be meaningless for Nashville.

I think Duke could still help this team next year, on the 3rd line and PP. I would like to see him come back in a support role.
If not, thank you for everything Duke.

Need an Avs win and Sabres, Stars, and Flames loss tonight. Bump at pick from 11th overall to 14th overall.

I believe that Elliott has already been sent back to Lake Erie to help with their playoff push

Hope the Pepsi Center erupts everytime Hejduk touches the puck or is on the ice. Guy has done a ton for the organization and has always been a class act. If this is truly his last game, I hope everyone that is lucky enough to be at the Can really, really celebrates it.

We'll some of you guys are going to be pretty disappointed in the offseason, because I wouldn't be surprised at all if we sign Carle.

I'd take Semin, he gets a lot more **** than he deserves. But would rather overpay for Garrison than Carle and am not to fond of either proposition.

Question:
Can someone explain to me this facination about Carle ? I saw him play more than a few times and each time i find the guy ... hmm let say ... average.

Seconded. Anyway, the Avalanche would not "go" for a guy like Semin.

Hopefully they aren't signing him just because he played for DU.

I could see Carle coming to Denver. He did study here and has connections with Stastny. I wouldn't mind him. A puck mover is something we're missing and would sooner take him than Hunwick, OBiern, and Wilson.
But in the end, he isn't a top pairing Dman and that's what we are missing. I wouldn't mind him for 3 - 3.5M however I am sure he'll get better offers.

Why would they sign Carle who's a lesser version of Liles and probably pay him more than Johnny? It makes no sense.
