I guess Lidstrom was supposed to be in the corner AND the slot at the same time? That was a blown coverage by Cory Emmerton, the 4th line center.
Also, if you ask me, that was on Ian White...He went for a poke check instead of taking the man (the guy who passed)...Far from a superstar.
Radulov scored on the 4th line, Ian White and Lidstom. Lol
That's why this Nashville team has the potential to succeed in the playoffs this year. Teams will put out their best defensive players to shutdown Radulov, which leaves these players to worry about:
Hornqvist (27 goals)
Fisher (24 goals)
Erat (19 goals)
Legwand (19 goals)
S. Kostitsyn (17 goals)
A. Kostitsyn (16 goals)
Wilson (15 goals)
Halischuk (15 goals)
Smith (14 goals)
Spaling (10 goals)
Every line Trotz puts on the ice has the ability to score.
Likelyhood of being Kronwalled:
Erat>Radulov>Hornqvist
Yes, history tells us that the Czech is the most likely victim....and perhaps a fellow Swede will get a free pass. It's actually quite predictable, isn't it.

I imagine it takes all of one period for our entire fan base to start screaming about Kronwall leaving his feet.
I say that because we are talking about Radulov. I say we wait until the playoffs. Predictions are going to make people here look foolish. Remember the first 4 games of the series? ALL Detroit. Nashville won 1, but they were still out played that game.
Last two games? Game 5 I wouldn't take much stock in. It was Nashville VS Detroit Griffons. Nashville earned it, but that wont gauge much going into the playoffs. Game 6? Rinne earned that, and Howard was rusty (comming of 2 groin injuries would even hurt Rinne's game, you gotta admit). It was a defensive battle... All it took was 2 defensive break downs (and a good line change by Trotz) that game and Nashville scored.
So to summarize, Detroit dominated Nashville and Nashville had no chance to beat Detroit, but happened to get lucky.
According to this thread the Nashville Predators are superior in every facet of hockey. I picked them to win but i can't wait until wednesday. Gonna be a good one.

I don't see that at all. I see Preds fans arguing we have an equal chance to win. I see most Detroit fans dismissing Nashville as any kind of legitimate threat. In short, they believe only Detroit can beat Detroit.

Come on dude, there's just as much of that on the RW side of things. Something about the matchup getting locked in turned both fanbases cocky. If you look back to last week, Detroit fans were hoping Chicago would play Nashville, and Nashville fans were preferring to play Chicago as well. All of a sudden, the matchup is set and it's turned into "OMG WE GONNA PWN J00 n00b!" on both sides of the fence.
Silliness. The teams split the season series, they're statistically pretty close in most categories...both teams have clear advantages that when added altogether mostly wash. It predicts what it will likely be-- a tight series that will go six or seven games, in either direction.

It's gonna be a good series. I'm picking Detroit because well it just doesn't feel right picking against the Wings but the series could definitely go either way. I think it goes 7 and wouldnt be surprised to see the Preds win at all. Good, good team.

I mean I've seen a couple people write off Howard saying there's no way he can stand up like Rinne can. Keep in mind, Rinne is the best goalie in the NHL in my opinion. I don't know where the cockiness started on both sides either. Detroit fans have no reason to be cocky at all. We've looked bad. We are bland and predictable. Hence my prediction.

The way I see it too. Pretty evenly matched overall and should be a good one.
I really don't see an underdog in this series.
I just can't wait to start hating nashville now. Detroit fans have a lot of respect for the preds organization. It'll finally be nice to be a real rivalry for once
I think both sides have over looked one big thing . This is going to be a war and who ever wins may not have anything left for the later rounds . My second fav team is the blues so I hope they can get the left overs .

I think your reading into some comments a little too much. Even confident Preds fans would readily admit Detroit could easily win this series. The difference between the teams simply isn't that great one way or another. Preds have youthful energy and tons of motivation. Detroit has the championship pedigree of guys who have been there and done that. Hopefully the series lives up to the hype.

There is a decent chance this could be the case. The team that wins could be emotionally spent after this series is over. This series does have that potential but there is nothing that can be done about that. The team that wins will cross that bridge when they get there.

That about cover it?
No. But can you argue those facts? First four games were dictated by Detroit (game 4 was actually a tightly checked game, and even the shots were equal...but possession time was in Detroits favor).
The last two games were all Nashville.
All I said is if people are basing the series off the last two games (one was basically the Griffens, and the other...well Nashville outplayed Detroit) they are going to be in for a shocker is all.
Detroit was playing at a level few could match early-game 59ish (before injury). What makes people think they can't find that level again? I highly doubt they went from an elite team to an average team all in one year.
That's why I said I wouldn't make predictions until we see what Detroit team shows up is all. But of course, A pred fan (the very one who is all nice and conciderate in the Detroit boards) would try and make my post sound nothing like I was implying.
This is going to be a really good series I can easily see going either way. Because I'm a homer I'm saying wings in 7 though.
Also, thank freakin' god we don't have to play Phoenix to begin the playoffs again. I mean, I know we've beaten them twice now, but I want to see some different faces in the playoffs.
We were a minute away from playing them for the third year in a row

They were playing like that at home, not so much on the road. Also, Nashville from around December has been one of the best teams in the league. Not saying Detroit wasn't on a roll but Nashville is underrated in how good a season they had.
