I did forget how dreadful the D is offensively outside of Streit. Bringing in 1-2 experienced puck moving D would do wonders for this team offensively and defensively. Countless times the D would bang it off the glass blindly to the other team. The problem I have with that top 6 and landing a dman is "IF". Way to many ifs right now and until Okposo,Franz,Bailey, Grabner play a consistent 82 games they will be huge question marks and can not and should not be relied upon. Wideman had 46 points this year and Garrison has 21 goals in the last two seasons. These aren't household names but MUST be targeted by Garth on day one to bring in. As for all the "IF" factors, I can see where you are coming from, but sadly there are no other options. Garth has invested in these players, the contracts he has given out has symbolized that. Plus, don't forget we have a very young team.
